ZF RM55, new super clone movement

It's the lighting he used. Low light with high flash makes the NTPT reflective. But it doesn't look like that regularly.

well, no. i know the lighting thing. in my case, the carbon is just not the quality of these 55 & 35. yes, mine has the reflection thing as i rotate it in the light, cool. but the carbon layering and quality is not nearly as good, you guys would call it BAD. i call it "good enough", as i don't buy a watch solely based on closest to gen. i decide what i like of gen, then look for the best i can afford in rep, if its good enough, i get it. that is where i am at with all of mine. as flawed as mine are, i still enjoy them, as they "represent". the McLaren, i would have bought better if it was available, AMO told me mine was the best he could get.

now, another question i have, the finish. as in flat, satin, matte, gloss. what does gen have? mine was quite flat, the black looked dark grey, kinda yuck. so i put a little polish to it and it looks much better, the black is actually black and the orange pops somewhat. all in all, i am happy with it, for the price. again, i would have bought better if it could be had.

NTPT looks like a charcoal briquette, I'd like a solid color ceramic or Ti, and red/white QTPT for the 35-02.

@Harolds how much are those in the pics? If you are going to HK, hold in your hands the gen RMs there, its plenty out there.. even if you are not buying them they will let you hold and wear them. haha.

can one just purchase the front and back plates and attach it to the ZF mid case or do you have to purchase the entire cnc case set?

Yea that CNC case is pretty accurate. The NTPT grains and shine pattern plus the rehaut indexes are correct. Transplanting the ZF clone movement into that case will yield a 95% accurate RM rep. Would really love to know the supplier for this case and the price

From ZF I have no idea, but the clone movement is ready to be inserted in any custom case including ceramic.
