On the topic of these shark fin straps, do you guys think the green and yellow one would look good on the white ceramic ZF 055? Was thinking of buying one or might wait until the RM 61-01 with green and yellow ribs comes out 🤞
Here, i made a photoshop mockup for you. :)

Somewhere in your peripheral vision
do you get called out on the ski slops?
Generally, on the slopes, one would wear many layers and the watch would not be seen. Garmins are a good call on and off piste. There is no need for an RM or any other mechanical watch.

But in the bar afterwards, most people drool over my RM reps, bowing down to my superiority as Billy Big Bawlz with the balistic bank balance swooning the ladies, wearing watches worth more than their houses. I've never been called out, not once. People wouldn't dare to question the command of a man wearing such a ridiculously priced watch that they could only dream of. To 'call out' such a watch... nay, such a man wearing such a watch, would only end in their embarrasment and they'd spend the rest of their time on the slopes with a ski mask on to ensure their face is not seen in public ever again.

Oh, by the way..... I don't even ski

Hi guys, want to kindly ask those who have the ZF white ceramic. How is the finishing of the white ceramic on the front bezel like for this latest version?
I recall many white ceramic reps I've owned in the past, RM included, that have slightly translucent and almost porcelain like glossy finishes that really turned me off on them.

I know the gen RM055 is supposed to be matte white ceramic on the front bezel.
How does the ZF's ceramic finish and matte white compare?

Looks the same as gen. Nice matte white. No translucent whatsoever.

Everyone talking about the movement but what really shines for me on the new ZF white ceramic is the overall case shape/screw constructions + placement.

It is by far the best I have ever seen on a RM rep.
Especially the curvature of the side profile, the arc of the bezel, and how it integrates flawlessly with the strap, not to mention same thickness as gen. Also how the placement of the strap screws are now placed correctly closer to the edge which makes the bezel seem more elongated near the strap, like gen.

I would say the overall shape construction of the ZF ceramic versions have the other factories beat by a long shot at the moment.
Here's a few pictures comparing all current factories that are offering the white ceramic RM055.
Just look at the differences in side profile case construction and judge for yourself.

GEN

ZF (gen like)

RMF (Shape is off, not curved enough, too flat)

BBR V3 (shape is off, especially near the strap integration it's much too thick)

T+F (shape is off + overall case is much too thick)

APSF Ti (not the ceramic model since they dont have one out yet. Shape is not bad but it's much too thick)
