while it is always safer to use a TD. Be very weary of their over inflated, frankly scam prices. Some TD's are literally committing highway robbery to those that are uneducated. 15-20 k for a CNC build with this ZF movement is laughable. They will tell you it is "refinished" to gen spec, etc etc. All BS.

Buy smart
Good point. By the way, is that build you showed with the vaucher movement yours?

Grey CNC Case Bubba with Vaucher Clone movement

Quoted 158k cny
About 17k gbp

Not by chance they’re driving Porsches in China.
The amount of Vaucher/ Vaucher clones that are already inside the gen market must be ridiculous now. To me its a waiting game, in a year or two we would be able to fetch them way lower.

If that's true, it's insane, They are spot on. There are significant differences between that watch and the empty case that was posted a few pages back though

Indeed

It's very difficult to trust these non td. After all they are non tds for a reason. They often post gen pictures claiming to be custom pieces. They try to sell on the hype before these pieces become widely available in the custom market. People are getting quoted 15-20k. When eventually these will probably come down to 6-7k range or 1k if zf realeses there. I think the price also varies depending on the type of movement being used. I think there are 3 types of movements in the market now may be more. Top grade is Vauchere movement, vaucerer clone movement and factory movement ( aka zf and bbr movements)

I think that empty one is a test fit of existing black ceramic bezel. The grey one is a titanium alloy. The finished watch above could very well be a Gen. Would love to be proven wrong on this coz that looks really good.

If the gen strap fits it's a good bet that Vic's straps for the old ZF should fit just fine. If i remember correctly those were gen-spec, and I'll be able to test with my old strap once I get around to ordering the new ZF. Yours looks stellar!

Is nobody else deeply bothered by the grainy painted-on white bridges and trims? I'm super hyped for this but I'd expect ZF of all factories to brush their movements like the older releases, wearing a white ceramic BBR v3 right now and looking at the brushed details is a must under lighting and inspection. I really hope they machine that correctly for a V2 soon by end of year.
