ZF RM55, new super clone movement

Is the ZF movement actually a clone of the gen or still a deco?

Both the ZF and the BBR are technically clones, depending on how you define it. For me a clone is pretty much "a movement specifically made to reproduce a genuine movement", not something modified from another common movment and obvs not a common movement hidden behind deco plates.

I kinda classify the RM55 reps into three levels overall: the original ZFs from 2020-2021 that are Seikos and Citizen movements with deco plates, then the BBR v1/v2 which aren't clones so much as a Miyota movement with a bunch of custom bridgework but NOT just a Seiko hidden behind some deco, and finally the true clones, of which the BBR v3 and ZF appear to be the mass-produced examples of. I'm not including the customs and Vaucher-bases and whatnot, just the reps that us ordinary nerds can commonly buy from a TD, but that's how I break them all down.

I didn’t realize we have a bbr v3.
Did some searching just now but it seems the ZF rm55 is the closest thing to gen ?

Is anyone bothered with the blatant wrong colour of the movement fastener (Black) in the ZF vs titanium/silver colour of the Gen?

Would be it be a easy fix to just apply a touch of metallic paint?

They're straps made by @SMP_lover . That's what I asked as I know he makes the velcro ones. Already have 2 of his straps for other brands and can vouch on the quality.

After I eventually get the RM55, definitely grabbing a velcro one from him.

If or more to the point, when ZF releases the white ceramic version, I would love to get one of those SMP black velcro straps, like in this classic video from 5 years ago:

Looks ridiculous on his wrist, way too big. The white makes it look even bigger. Seems like the Velcro has done a half assed job at making it 'look' smaller. Unless you've got a Clarkson wrist, deffo go for the darker colour models.
