Here'a my second QC, I'm thinking of GLing this anyway, despite the very crooked bezel. I just figure these are all put together kind of carelessly and I won't get perfect alignment. I plan to take it apart and re-align the bezel and dial regardless. Does anyone know how the bezel is attached? Is it screwed on?

I'm going to RL this due to the crooked bezel. I will accept a crooked dial because I can open the back and rotate the movement, but since it is a mystery how the bezel is attached from the factory, I am not condident I can fix it. If it's glued on I'm screwed. I asked them to let ZF know of these issues. I have not seen one aligned dial and bezel yet, on any QC or catalog pic.

My brother just got a ZF 4500v and it stopped working after a few days... obviously wasn't quite right when shipped.

Does anyone know what this disc/washer is that's come lose and jammed up the movement (red arrow)?

Is this a big repair or something any local watchsmith could do?

looks like a decor plate for the balance. My guess is that something else also came loose and jammed the movement.
You can try removing the caseback and try to shake whatever is jammed ,out, but don't touch the movements unless u know what you are doing.

It's this part over the balance wheel. It's just decoration, it does nothing.

So I'm still on the fence about my QC. TD hasn't gotten back to me yet though, don't know if they can answer my question of whether the bezel can be rotated by force or not. Would be happy to just QC this one and rotate the bezel. At least the dial is on straight so I don't have to open the caseback to resituate the movement.

Can anyone with one of these on hand try to twist the bezel really hard and see if it moves left or right?

The bezel won't twist by hand, it will likely be pressed on so will need to be lifted off, rotated, then pressed back down. It's not a particularly difficult job and your date wheel looks much better aligned than my version.

My 2 cents: I'd RL this. Firstly, what happens if you damage or warp the bezel removing it? Second, if the bezel was on straight, I don't think the dial would look very straight. The dial looks straight relative to the crooked bezel. And finally, we've had enough examples of these with straight bezels and straight(ish) dials that I'd just wait for the right one. I RL'ed my first one (also from Mirotime), and my second one was better. It took a while to get it, but it seems like people are getting their 4500Vs quicker now. So, of course, ultimately up to you, but for me, I don't want the headache or potential issues.

Hmm I don't like the word "likely" and I don't like trying to remove something that's press-fitted on. Guess I'll RL this one and wait for one with a straight bezel, at least the dial rotation I can go in and fix.

Miro just refunded my order saying that they stopped selling this one due to the QC issues, that they are mostly RL'd.

Interesting, will need to check with Trusty whether they will do the same

Got this QC from Hont, luckily he had one on hand for instant QC. Pretty happy with it. So far this has been one of my most frustrating watch acquisitions with regards to RL'ing and bouncing around dealers. The watch and all its parts look great. Just they're carelessly assembled it seems.

Does he mean ZF stopped selling the 4500v completely? Doesn't seem likely...

Don't know, but they do waste time and money getting these from the factories and sending them back when they get rejected. Too many and it's not profitable anymore.

Either you try over and over and hope to get lucky like I did or we just need to wait for a new corrected batch that's put together better.

So did we ever find out if a smith can work on the movement or get parts if necessary?

Tough luck with that, as ZF is known to have crappy QC across all their models
