ZF 15400 - First pictures

np ZF is very close ofcourse not 1:1 (because they watch costs 20k it would be ridiclious if they can make it for 500 usd) but for a rep its the closet blue dial you can get.

We can talk about $500 vs. $20k all day long, but why the instantaneous attacks from people that have the gen but still comment on this rep site? Those are measurements made with a high precision gauge on my black ZF 15400.

I think this rep in both black and blue deserve super rep status. They are stunning and nobody could tell. Only the slight rotation of the orientation of the exposed back would an expert note.... Maybe. Zf knocked it out of the park.

I would not call it "Super Rep", i mean ofcourse its a nice rep, but the finishing is nothing near of a Gen. They are so many tells it would be easy to spot (not only the movement), but i agree that its by far the best 15400 rep since years

We are all here to learn and share, and not to disparage.
If you want to learn about color, online pics and videos, and specially graphical depictions instead of actual products, are poor sources of what is factual and what’s not.
Ultimately whatever you choose, it’s a rep and it’s never going to be anything close to gen even if the color of the dial is 1:1. Blue, grey, silver, black, the preferences are subjective and all 4 colors will appeal to different people for different reasons.
I personally do not use online pics or videos or member posts as sources of knowledge when it comes to dial colors. These need to be viewed in person, as the eye interprets colors differently from camera lenses. No doubt variances will exist (even between gen batches of the same series they do) but it is subjective to individuals whether the differences can be accepted.
For a $500 rep, none of the color variants are bad purchases. It ultimately boils down to preference instead of “x color is more accurate than y”

This sounds about right— finishing and details are what make an AP an AP, they’re the whole game. This is a great watch for $500, and a great looking daily wearer. I haven’t worn it out of the house yet, but if I started wearing it i wouldn’t fret about wear, it would just give me a good excuse to refinish everything the right way. Rep and Franken APs are low stress beaters that replicate many aspects of the feel and look. The ZF has addressed a lot of the big picture issues that have plagued other versions of this watch.

Was leaning toward the JF v5 - Now I have my heart set on the ZF. Eagerly anticipating a side-by-side popping up on here. For me the superior ZF dial beats the JF bracelet. I do have some concerns about some of the QC photos I've seen (the wonky logo and 12 some pages back was super off-putting). I've done my due diligence but would appreciate a bit of advice.
1. Am I better going with Ryan or Andrew for this purchase?
2. Ok if I post my QC photos on here?

I believe that AP blue dial have many variations in different series,,,,my JF is a very accurate blue for the dial from 2+ ago imho and the present dial is very similar to the present series ZF 15400,,,
A great effort for both but dial colour variations is like asking ‘ how long is a piece of string”,,,,

There are many other TDs and all of them can get the same watches. I had fairly good experience with Intime, but their QC pics suck, low resolution, poor lighting, they should bin the potato they use for taking pics. You can't see any significant details and I think it's on purpose. Comparing those to QC pics from KS watches, man... You wouldn't believe the difference!

You can post QC photos only if you have a specific question or if you have already GL'd them.

I can't understand why some people are so obsessed about certain reps obtaining "super rep" status? Do they have shares in ZF or Noob or whatever? Would that make you feel better about yourself or what? I don't get it.. Many watches, that are nowhere near being super reps, are actually super nice and feel incredible, even though they aren't on "the list".
