Ok my watch arrived .first impressions was the sel is not resessed.and the bezel was loose. I've fixed the bezel in place now and feels solid. bezel turning is good.but you can't really hear the click.the purple dial is not good.but I have 2 of the new light blue jf dial.clasp and bracelet are solid.watch feels heavy
Insert colour looks platinum and Its not too bad with the slighty off round font.rehaut is shiny with the R being more visable than the o l e x as with all of them.sel has no gaps xtal sits at good height.but will put a gen xtal in.date wheel sits low justifled but I'll use a gen datewheel.clasp closes with a nice solid clunk.and feels good

I'm glad that after all this like it :)

I'm not a YM models fan in general, but Noob has done a great job with this model.

However for the clasp yes, it is good, but after 5 clasp of sub V6S who lost the crown (seemed glued) I am afraid that even this one can be unstuck.

The crown of the clasp does not seem very solid. Only a slight lateral welding hint, and only on one side (in my case the right side of the crown)

Thanks Smoke, about the SEL; should it be recessed in first place?
I have read on this forum gens have sometimes recessed, and sometimes not. Same for gaps on the sel.

My friend has a gen ym and the bezel doesnt make the same click sound as you would expect on say a submariner etc so maybe thats not much to worry about.

The gen should be recessed yes.but looking at the pics of everyone's noob ym in this thread no one has recessed sel.the polished lugs give a slight reffective look so it looks recessed from the front.the noob ym sel ain't resessed from the side it's perfectly flush

:ffuu: Very disapointing, I was hoping this watch would be better then the Noob V7 SUB.
I have done some research few minutes ago... I can't really spot recessed SEL's on the web but if you have a gen I don't doubt it is as it is. But do you maybe knw the gens are less recessed then a gen submariner? At that model it is obvious to me.
Thanks for helping out.
