I am looking forward to buy that one. My only question is; how is the weight? Because of the gen material it should be heavier than other models. Does the rep to?

The gen has a platinum bezel insert which as it very thin makes a negligible weight difference
DW the weight is fine

Thank you for the response! The weight because of the Platinum weight and the sand finished style are the only 2 aspects that are stopping me. But I think I will go for this piece!

The great advantage of this movement is a better case due to the crown position and correct keyless function.

I have not had a 28XX Yachtmaster rep in my hands so I can't confirm that the crown position differs, but logic suggests that it must. Certainly the keyless function will still be backwards compared to the gen, which is still a problem for me. In fact the backwards keyless is the reason I don't wear the BP DJ II I bought a few months ago. Not buying any more Rolex reps with 28XX movements when there is a perfectly good correctly functioning movement.

First purchase

Hi All,

Just got this delivered, not the first rep I've owned I have a bunch but this is the first REAL one ive owned, picked up from a TD not from Thailand where I let your advice dictate the purchase. Super happy with the watch so thought id chuck up a couple of wrist shots for you to have a look at. First reaction is it seems a little lighter than my GEN Hulk and the clasp is just a bit tighter and more clunky but it is seriously side by side a really amazing bit of engineering to see how close the have gotten. At the risk of being on of those people that complains about minor detaisl the only issue I really ahve is my Bezel doesn't line up with the watch quite right. The triangle on the bezel @12 , when sitting in the "clicks" sits either at 1 minute past, or between the 59th min and midnight. Don't expect perfect precision from a factory in China, but is there anyway or anyone that might be able to rectify that or am i gonna have to let the OCD slide?

For the record I have a few nice pieces, put this one on this morning and never had so many people comment on how beautiful it is in such a short space of time!!

As said before there is virtually no weight difference. The platinum on this watch is so small its negligible. Wait until you handle a rep day/date and a real day date. Then you will feel amazed at the weight difference. Then go handle a Skydweller on bracelet which is like a brick - it feels ALOT heavier than a Day Date.
