Yachtmaster Grey Dial 2016 by Noob

hi after i compare the pic of the gen and this version,is the dial colour on the rep is too light compare to gen which i presume is darker

i mean the gen is lighter in colour

Yes I had both in my hand I may have mentioned this elsewhere on the forum.
The Rep dial is very slightly darker in some light and at some angles , but the difference is slight enough to be detectable only if you have the two watches together. You can never see this properly in photos as the light and angles are never the same. In most photos it actually looks lighter on the rep, the reverse is actually the case.
The Rep dial is also slightly less flat, and this is detectable at some angles.

Over all is is amazing how accurate the Rep is in look and feel. Two hours with some Micro-mesh* and the two watches feel identical

Don't listen to people who say the can spot 904L, they can't

Even more surprising is how close the bezel insert is considering it is SS and the Gen is Platinum. Yes if you look hard you can see. But never in a million years could you call it without the two watches together in the same light.


BTW when I asked (my friend) AD manager if there was any possibility to get some photos of the two watches together.

He said no problem, just buy it , take it home and take the photos. :wink:

Useful for smoothing the rough or sharp edges left on the watch. Mostly on bracelet and clasp , but often on the lug feet and edges. Should be used with caution and thought.

I'm not sure if the watch accepts Gen Sub crystal.

Also if there are pros here that can guide us on if it is possible, and where could we source for gen xtals.

Is changing crystal a challenge for first timers who never done it before?

I got mine but the bezel is very strange. Is the yachtmaster bezel turning supposed to be completely different from a sub? There is no click and no resistance when i turn it.
