These QC pics just remember me why I am not buying from this td anymore lol
His service and everything is fine, but QC pictures taken with a toaster is something I don‘t need when trying to QC my ordered watch :D

Sorry for OT ... to answer your question: Yes it looks like a V2 to me :)

Hah, I've ordered from them before and the watch itself was amazing; so much so that I forgot how crappy their QC pics were. Luckily, they seem pretty responsive when asked for better shots, but it is annoying to not get it right the first time. I can't be the only person who asks to actually see the watch!

I couldn't really understand if they achieve to produce a 8.2mm. watch, does anyone has some better informations about the thickness?

It's 8.6mm. I have mine now and measured it using digital calipers.

Have the v1 and will say while v2 QCs look slightly better, my QC didn’t really show the lume difference due to the crazy bright lights they use so I’d wait and see how it turns out in hand.

Most reviews I've read on the v2 mention the same thing about the bezel screws as being too sunken.

You may find this surprising but bezel screws on all genuine royal oaks fresh out of the factory are supoosed to be sunken. Gen watches with level bezel screws signify a watch that has been serviced and therefore taken apart in the process. This is unspoken AP code.

Not true at all.

I own gen ROOs and royal oaks and all of them come with level or imperceptibly sunken screws. The screws on the modern royal oak especially are flushed with the bezel.
Also, after service, my 15400 royal oak was returned with the screws at exactly the same level, though they were polished.

I do not know where you got your facts from but if you know your AP and especially if you own one you’ll get your facts right.

You may find this surprising thinking you know shit about what you’re talking about but you’re absolutely wrong. :qtip2:

Well you're not the only person in the world who owns gen watches. Maybe they have changed the policy now but it was true a few years ago. The pic of the gen watch i posted cleary clearly shows sunken screws. You cannot argue with something that is right infront of your face and plain to see.

Yes this. The watches I see are literally right in front of my face, not pics taken off the internet. Don’t go spouting rubbish which has no basis.

I was merely stating what i know to be true based on personal experince, what has bee told to me by AP personnel and confirmed by long- time watch professionals. But you know what, if you feel that you have a monopoly in knowledge in all things AP so be it.

Lol, nobody can have monopoly over any knowledge including knowledge about a watch brand.
And what is more important than second tier information is first hand knowledge. Why learn from anyone else or off pics off the net when you can have the actual watch right in front of your eyes, to look and touch?
There used to be this dude around who tried to argue that the gen ROO rotor is 22k rose gold, by showing a pic off the net like you did. I have the watch right in front of me and can physically SEE that it’s yellow gold. Your logic of argument is very much like that, arguing based on hearsay, google pics and conspiracy theories about a brand I’ve been collecting for years and know a little about.

Yes I’m definitely not the only gen watch collector in the world. But between you and I, there’s multiple gen APs and only 1 gen AP owner. Our sources of information and depth of knowledge are different. I ask that you do not repeat and spread false information here, especially about sunken screws. My source of information isn’t google or “AP personnel” or “long time watch professionals”. It’s simply my vision at 30cm.

Most modern APs either do not have sunken screws or have imperceptibly sunken ones which look more flushed than sunken. I do not need to scour the internet to prove my point. Neither do sunken screws have anything to do with service. Also there is no AP secret code of any kind. That last bit was hilarious though.

You’ve gotten the “I’m the One Above All AP guru”part backward:
Own a gen modern AP, spend time to study it and THEN, act like an expert here and your pontification may have some merit. Not the other way round. :qtip2:

You know, it amazes me sometimes the lengths people go to to prove a petty little point on the internet to people they have never met, and likely will never meet. Its either an indication of a watch zealot or a fragile ego. I am not going to be drawn into a to-ing and fro-ing that far too often leads to insults and name calling in these forums. I frankly find it tiring to get into an argument and insult someone, more so when that person is someone I have never met. But do allow me to make this one last point before I hold my peace forever on this issue.

You, Sir, are assuming that I do not own gen AP pieces when I say what I say. I do not know on what basis you form this assumption but you also failed to read my posts carefully before making this assumption. Either that or you conveniently omitted certain words when you quoted me just to prove a point. I did clearly say that I speak from personal experience? I suppose this is Trump-era logic and rationale at play here. Here is a gen ROO (with correct time and date at the time of writing) with flush bezel screws because it has been serviced years ago. One of 3 gen APs I own (amongst other watches).

You know what they say about assumptions. Perhaps you do these things because of the said 'monopoly of knowledge' issue? It may very well be that AP has changed its policy regarding the bezel screws but what I said was true when I was actively in the market for gen APs.

Anyway, this is the last you're going to hear from me on this issue. You can insult and make assumptions about me further all you want, I'm just not going to entertain it any further.
