we are all nitpicking over macro close up shots when in reality and on the wrist these imperfections can hardly be noticed.

I received my artisans sub yesterday and in real life it looks amazing when compared to the TDs pictures close up pictures under harsh lighting conditions.

I would put the bracelet in a bowl with hot water for 20 min or so. Jiggle it a few times as it's in the bowl. Try to unscrew after.

Or even better: Ask your TD to ask XF. They should know the best way to fix it.

Movement crapped out after five days ????

Wondering whether to ship to an EU member here to service it or go trough my TD. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if I'm totally in love with the 15202 either. Beautiful watch by all means, but I also wanna try the 15703 on bracelet. Feeling a bit uncomfortable wearing a piece with a street price of $45 000 as well...

Have it serviced in Europe, if you send it back to China you may never see it again. I personally think the 15703 is too thick, you'll eventually get comfortable wearing the 15202. All the best.

Why? Ap is one of those brands that flies under the radar. People think its a nice watch, but they don't know its value. It's only us nut jobs that do...

Try to get in Touch with Slaughterer, his reputation is second to none, and he is an AP specialist ;-)

I guess you're right :) That's why I'm going the AP route. Have had Rolex for years (gens as well as replicas) but I'm starting to dislike the stigma that comes with it.

I just started to appreciate the AP brand, beautiful designs that, like you said, flies somewhat under the radar. Too bad I entered the AP world some years too late, the prices on the second hand marked are ridiculous.

In 2014 you could get the 15202 for $5k used.

I will admit, if I'm in a shady neighborhood, I do feel a bit uneasy wearing APs - even if its not a well known brand to the masses. Once that light hits the bracelet and that bling pops up, I tend to put my sleeve over it lol. In the vast majority of situations, I think its fine though.

Here are some more pictures for you.

Overall, I am really impressed.

Case and bezel are awesome. The bracelet is a little sharp on the edges but after a soapy bath and some light polishing it has already gotten better.
The clasp opens and closes like a charm after applying a few drops of nano oil.
The yellow lume of the markers is visible under certain angles and light conditions, but it is a lot less obnoxious than I expected after seing the QC pictures.
The prominence of the tapisserie, too, changes with different angles and lighting conditions.
The dial has is quite a sunbursty effect when exposed to direct sunlight.
The timegrapher showed on average -35 sec/day, 280 degrees and 0.0 ms out of the box. Not a very accurate, but a healthy movement. Without the second hand, accuracy does not bother me too much. I’ll wear it for a couple of weeks and then report back on its performance. If the accuracy does not change, I’ll probably ask my watchmaker to regulate it. If the yellow lume turns out to be annoying, I might get that fixed at the same time, too.
I can’t compare it with the gen because I’ve never seen one up close, but as I’ll never be able to spend 40k on a watch, I am really happy with the V2.

excellent images, thank you very much!
Looks really great

Do you have a reference for this statement? If I am not mistaken and my memory serves my well, these watches were never traded for less than $25-30k on the secondary market, no matter what asteroid hit the Earth. I am not justyfying the price, or advocating for the brand, just stating a fact.

Yes I do actually. Hit me with a PM and I'll link you an old forum (not this) post from when a local guy in my country bought one for said price. I don't want to share it public since it quite a small community. I checked again though, and it was July 2011. List price was about $14k give or take (regards of the exchange rate at that given time.)
