Regardless, is there even a better dial in existence that can be had on a stock watch or aftermarket for that matter?

you left out short lugs right out of the box, very wrong ar right out of the box, thin case right out of the box and i know you said subpar lume but you forgot to mention that it is slime green on the sausage dials right out of the box. lol

The phrase "the Best 111" suggests that this is a subjective matter and you need to understand that some
thinks certain reps with certains flaws are better than others.
In my opinion, DSN's dial is not as accurate as standard reps - although probably not as visible if you hold it in person, it has wrong size font and spacing.
These flaws are not fixable.
Standard rep dials also have inaccuracies that cannot be fixed, such as "L SWISS MADE L" sticking too closely to the "6". However, the rest of the dial looks almost dead on or is fixable - as a few modders suggested, the color of the text (being too white) can be modified with cigar smoke or instant coffee mix
If you're asking which rep is the best value, then I am willing to admit that DSN's 111 may be the one - with cannon pin fix, superlume, thicker CG, etc. But if your goal is to make a rep as close to gen as possible, I think buying a standard rep and spending a lot of money into modding it is a better way to go.
I would suggest choosing a Painted Dial Pam - such as 111, 112, 114, 061 etc. in D, E, F, G series. These dials do not have the "L SWISS MADE L" issue (I do think though that if you're using 112 painted base dial to be used for 176G, the L SWISS L is a bit too close to the "6" - even among gen base dials, there are spacing variation depending on the model).

Compare this to below - GEN 176G - "L SWISS L" is further apart:
In summary, I would say DSN 111 = great value, Standard rep 111 = more accurate dial, but needs a lot of work.

panerai can't even make their dials the same. look at the location of of the L swiss made L on the base destro dial. i am very happy with my 111h and 177h from ruby. the color of the fonts on the dial doesn't bother me but that is where what flaws can you live with comes in. the positioning of that swiss made at the bottom used to bother me until i saw this picture. panerai is famous for not being able to build 2 production runs the same. click on luminor and look at the swiss made on the base destro. it looks just like my 111h and 177h.

Anyone familiar with the gen H movement will be gawping at the too-large, too-fat blue text on all the Panerai 111H rep movements.

Are you kidding me. Davidsens is advertised as fully modded right out of the box. When someone states out of the box it is referring to a unmodded cheap base unit. Something like $115 that you can have modded later. Paying the money one pays for Davids watches is crazy. It looks like a blind chimp cuts out the dials with a cookie cutter. Those "1" and "2" kill me on a few watches.

Right now, as it stands, even with all the Davidsen's watch has this wrong with it and Davidsen's watch has that wrong with it, I have yet to see someone step up and post a picture of a better one. If you're just going to jump on here and slam Davidsen's watch I am not sure what you are accomplishing, especially when you don't even post a picture of a better 111H.
Of course some people are going to like Davidsen's and some aren't, but if I am not mistaken, most do (like Davidsen's watch) and I think the watch speaks for itself (yes, that is an opinion Roger)
