Been riding this for about 6 months now. Decent cruiser, fast as hell, and pretty nimble for the mental city traffic here.

My needs changed tho, so soon Imma be looking for something traditionally laid out and about twice as heavy.

Vulcan 650? I like the luggage setup and that parallel twin. I picked up a used 2004 HD sportster roadster 1200 last year. Big change for me although I do still have a couple others. I also have a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard C50 (800cc) that I like a lot and not too heavy for a cruiser. What are you thinking about?

Yeah 650 S, the original 2015 version. I bought it in kind of a rough shape, had the engine taken apart, serviced and put back together, surface treated and put on some acc, now prepping to do a belt-swap.

To be honest, I don't particularly like the parallel twin, it basically hates anything bellow 4.000RPM. I try to be open minded and sort of learn what it wants and where the limit is, as a consequence I can make it behave at around 2,5k (kinda), but its not it, you know. Its not the right feeling.

Other than that, its pretty damn good little power-plant I must say. The Ninja powertrain is very versatile and hence used in a bunch of their models, so huge credit where its due.
Its just that Im used to a VTX1800 I had in Europe, so different kind of power dynamic. And I never want to touch a sports bike ever in my life again. 🤣 Wanted to import it, nonsense, so will probably look for something with a good service network here, which sadly, will probably be a Harik, even tho I don't particularly understand the hype around them, especially in recent years, but I have never owned one, so its very likely just my ignorance of the subject than anything else. Maybe Ill risk it with the immortal VTX here. Couple for sale here and there.

Oh cool, I like the Boulevard a lot, was thinking about it myself (the full fat version), but the 800 is sure much better if you ride any kind of city, much less cumbersome and still more than enough power and comfort. And reliable. 👌🏻
How would you describe the experience on your Harik as opposed to other bikes you've ridden? 1200 is also an interesting cubature. I've never ridden 1200 V-Twin.

I read on a forum post somewhere one time, that natural progression is chain, belt, shaft. I started with a shaft and that was a huge mistake I realize now. 🤣
Everything else sucks to me compared to a big engine with shaft drive. 🤣
