Sold my Ducati for around $10K Canadian IIRC. The business did well. It was acquired by Rakuten a few years ago:

My bike history, ages 17-21 ( pictures taken from web as sadly owned these fine motors pre smartphone 
).
Suzuki Landie 50cc ( modified and fitted with a 125cc engine ). Unbelievably rapid but very unstable
Graduated to a Honda XR650, especially handy when evading law enforcement and a quick duck in the fields needed
Finally ended up with a Kawasaki ZXR750. My first true love before a trip to hospital made me realise I love my life more

Traded in a 2012 aprilia tuono v4 I bought new for a 2012 ninja 1000 (z1000sx). Yeah it was a downgrade but I wanted something more common and easy to fix with longer range. I get double the range but 150 miles is still less than I was wanting. The tuono was by far the best, most amazing sounding, visceral motorcycle I've ever owned. I absolutely loved that motorcycle. I'm an aprilia fan in case you couldn't tell by my avatar. Had a 2001 aprilia falco as well previously.

Nice! I love the Honda twins. Great color. One of my non working bikes is a 74 CB360. You've got a great wife too to give you such an awesome gift.I've scaled down my motorcycle collection to just one. My 1972 CB450. It was gift from my wife about 6 years ago. It's my absolute favorite bike to ride.

Awesome! Love the thumping twins. I had a similar twin aprilia falco previously and I so badly wanted an SV1000. Not quite on the level of the TL but a bit more comfy. It amazes me they didn't take off. I bet if they came out or were reissued 5 yrs ago they could have. There's an SV1000 right near me for an amazing price tempting me but life and other expenses just don't want me to have it.1998 Suzuki TL1000R - I've owned this for the last 10 years and it's great fun to ride
