I realized I just posted the end results without details. This is the Tale of Two Frankens. I started my Franken Journey five years ago collecting parts and decided on a Black Themes. Against better advice, I decided to build a fantasy piece with a modern case with ceramic pushers. The Franken was built by Domi with parts sourced from all the usual suspects.

A couple of years later I had an issue with the crown and was unsuccessful in getting this repaired stateside and @legend was generous enough to help repair it and overhaul the movement.

After seeing "Take me to the next Level" Vampire build by @flying-tommy Tommy, I was inspired and embarked on collecting parts for a Vampire. Parts were hard to source but I finally managed to source and sent to @Spongebob for the build. SpongeBob swapped the BlackThemes for the Vampire and embarked on a Black Themes Redux build.

The Vampire is unique, as it has the distinction of having been in the hands of three AP masters: @Domi, @legend and @Spongebob. Details of each build are below.

Vampire
JF watch base
Tag Heuer movement
gen dial and tachy
gen hands
Mikey modern DW and cyclops
AR Crystal 2.5mm

Black Themes
JF watch base
Hamilton movement
gen dial and tachy
Mikey hands & classic DW

I am also in the beginning stages of a simile build, debating between a dark knight or vampire. I think I’ll go with dark knight honestly. Gratz on thee two amazing builds. I’m also building a 5402 franken but not setting any expectation here. If anyone has a Gen or service dial on a 5402 lmk.

Thanks Bro! . I don’t think you can go wrong with either the Dark Knight or the Vampire, they both look great. I picked up a gen Dark Knight and absolutely love the ceramic bezel, it really pops with the contrast of matte strap. Good luck with your builds and please post on your progress.

I have this beauty and love it.
A little bit bit for my skinny arms, but it feels really good with the thinner case.
Only what I need is "instant date change" and I‘m really thinking about to build it to a franken, if not this one, it will be a 116520 as a franken.

What you guys will say to this watch? Must I use a LWO, or I can use an alternative for the Instant date.

You can pair the new instant date change clone 3120 movement with the dd module. It isn’t an easy operation but doable.

clone 3120 movement have instant date change now? Like 15400?
Yes. But this isn't available from the trusted dealers. Can be used for 15400 and the 15703 and 15710 divers to name a few models.
I have already built a few 15400s using this movement.
