Hey BOD, last time I checked we were in the same team. You should ask that to the damaged parties, not me. They have the leverage, if they want to use it, that is. Unfortunately, I’m under the impression most prefer not burning bridges and continue paying extortionate prices for a low level service. Some of those already joined the new rogue forum.

That goes both ways, doesn’t it? We’re on the same boat.
Thank you for that. And like I said, I'm turning into a crotchety old man...I'll take this as my cue to STFU.

Statement to Address the Recent Drama

To the administrators of RWI and the broader community,
I am writing to directly address the accusations, speculations, and drama that have unfolded recently. I want to make it clear that certain accusations against me are false. I am not a scammer. I acknowledge that I failed to stop taking orders when I should have, and I deeply regret the stress and delays this has caused. But I urge anyone to come forward that claims they have either not been refunded or received their project.
This situation has spiraled out of control, creating unnecessary division. No one benefits from this kind of hostility. What we all want is simple: to share our passion for watches, exchange knowledge, and grow together as a community. To my customers, I want to apologize sincerely for my mistakes. I acknowledge that I failed to stop taking orders when I should have, and I deeply regret the stress and delays this has caused.
1. Delays and My Personal Challenges
I am usually a private person and do not like oversharing personal struggles, which is why I initially mentioned "health issues." However, given the situation, I feel it is appropriate to share more about my burdens. During her pregnancy, my wife began experiencing significant breathing problems that complicated our second pregnancy. I had to step up around the house not only to support her but to keep the household running as well. The multiple complications with her pregnancy and consultations with multiple specialty physicians were not only taxing on my work schedule but emotionally overwhelming for my family and me. The physicians ultimately moved her C-section to the earliest possible date to investigate further, as it seemed her condition was life-threatening. We are still in the middle of this process, and I would sincerely appreciate some understanding and continued privacy around this. I do not have the privilege of medical leave or the protections it provides as an independent worker, but I should have shared this sooner, and for that, I deeply apologize. I hope you can understand.
Despite these difficulties, I am fully committed to completing all outstanding orders. To reiterate:
•All watches are being completed.
•The majority of pending orders are already finished.
•If you have concerns or feel left behind, please contact me directly at my email and I will address your issues promptly.
2. The Purpose of My New Forum
To clarify, the new forum I’ve created was established with like-minded individuals, some of whom have expressed fear of being publicly associated due to the threats and hostility directed at those connected with me. It’s unfortunate that the situation has reached this level.
This new forum was created not as a “replica forum,” nor is it intended to replace or compete with RWI. Instead, it’s a platform for watchmakers and modders—a dedicated space for communication, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge. My decision to create this community followed the breakdown of my relationship with RWI and its moderators. I have no intention of threatening or dividing the community, and I remain unclear as to why it is being perceived in that way.
The idea for this forum had been rattling around in my mind for some time, and I began working on it as a way to distract myself from the serious personal issues I was facing. It was something I could do from my phone while staying near my family, allowing me to focus on a passion even during a challenging time.
Admittedly, many bridges have been burned for me at RWI, much of it due to my own actions. However, several members and respected watchmakers have privately expressed their dismay at the witch hunt that has unfolded. Threads mocking my work, threats directed at me and others, and private warnings to watchsmiths against interacting with the new forum have been deeply troubling. While I won’t dictate how such behavior is handled here, these actions are a large part of why some—including myself—are seeking a different kind of space.
If the forum I’ve created is truly seen as a threat to RWI, perhaps it’s an opportunity for reflection rather than perpetuating hostility toward another forum.
3. My Track Record and Commitment to Quality
Over the years, I have completed thousands of watch services and builds, consistently prioritizing quality and customer satisfaction. On the rare occasion issues arise, I have always worked to resolve them. If you feel differently, please reach out to me directly so we can address any unresolved concerns.
A Call for Peace and Resolution
This situation has escalated unnecessarily and has caused significant harm. Posts encouraging harm to me or others, as well as threats to doxx or ruin the reputations of my colleagues, are deeply disturbing and counterproductive. These actions go against the values of any community.
It’s time to move past this hostility and focus on what unites us—a shared love for watches. I urge everyone to step back, reflect, and focus on promoting positivity, inclusivity, and mutual respect. Let’s close this chapter and work toward fostering a community that uplifts rather than divides.
If I'm ever allowed to be part of the RWI community again, I would always welcome it, and I look forward to that opportunity, once I've demonstrated through my actions that I am still worth trusting and working with. But I must respect the wishes of the RWI moderators and its members.
I remain committed to serving the watchmaking community and proving through my actions that your trust is well-placed.
Sincerely,
Pat aka Oascom

@Oascom You have time to set up a forum, @m120 is still waiting for his dial, all he has had for 10 months is empty promises which is unlike you, you have had his money. $1865 to be exact. Are you planning on completing it one day?
@watchwatch93 spent $5,070 only to be ghosted by Oascom and has been waiting for over a year. He has attempted to reach out multiple times only to be continuously ghosted.

and I began working on it as a way to distract myself from the serious personal issues I was facing.

So instead of working on the watches, you decided to make a forum instead? This makes no sense.

Admittedly, many bridges have been burned for me at RWI, much of it due to my own actions.

I'm glad you admit you are are fault here. Your communication has been subpar at best.

Threads mocking my work

RWI felt so strongly the quality of your work was lacking, and it was overpriced they have banned resale of your watches. Members are free to draw their own conclusions from the many images posted of your work.

If my metal moonswatches cost $1k, people would not like me. I price them accordingly.

I urge everyone to step back, reflect, and focus on promoting positivity, inclusivity, and mutual respect.

Have respect for your customers by not ghosting them, communicating, setting reasonable timelines, and actually delivering what they paid for, or refund them. Anything less is disrespectful.

Yes it was sent already. He can confirm. Just like many others.
I can confirm Oascom has shipped a dial. Unfortunately it seems there may have been a mixup as it not being the one I selected but Oascom has stated that if I have an issue with the quality he will address it.

It is supposed to be delivered Saturday. I will update once it has arrived.

So Oascom sent you the wrong dial? That sucks. Are you going to ask him to resolve it? I feel like that may take 6 months to get fixed...
