Jeez, how many times have read these hard luck stories like Pats over the years ? Using the wife and a pregnancy is , whether true or not a new low imo. A refund takes a minute and an opology even less. That's the bottom line .
I hope some newer members take note of these threads and be wary when handing what looks to me like large sums of hard earned money on kiss and a promise.
I can only imagine how many others are out of pocket that are probably keeping their heads down in hope of a miracle

@Oascom You have time to set up a forum, @m120 is still waiting for his dial, all he has had for 10 months is empty promises which is unlike you, you have had his money. $1865 to be exact. Are you planning on completing it one day?
Funny how he replied about this
@watchwatch93 spent $5,070 only to be ghosted by Oascom and has been waiting for over a year. He has attempted to reach out multiple times only to be continuously ghosted.
but not about this :)

Hello guys,

I have also ordered a build to OASCOM but I still don't get it after many many months. I sent him a total of 5070 USD :
- 25 december 2023 = 2000 USD (Meteorite dial for daytona oysterflex)
- 13 january 2024 = 920 USD (Clean Factory daytona oysterflex)
- 14 march 2024 = 1630 USD (gen hands, gen crystal + gasket + shipping to him + WG plating)
- 28 July 2024 = 520 USD (movement service, dial and crystal installation)

I ordered first the meteorite dial in december 2023, it was supposed to take 1-2 months.
I decided then to make a whole build with him with this meteorite dial so he ordered for me a CF daytona oysterflex in January 2024 and then the gen parts and the plating in March 2024 (I took time to let him order the watch and gen parts because in any case the meteorite dial was not ready yet).
He confirmed me that he received the gen parts, he also received my CF daytona (he showed me a video of it).
21 May 2024 he confirmed me that he finally received meteorite slices.
On 6 July 2024, he sent me a message to tell me he will work on my watch this week.
17 July 2024 he told me he will finish printing meteorite dials today and one of them is mine
24 July 2024 he gave me the detail of the last things I still have to pay : Dial and crystal installation + in option, service of the movement. I accepted the service of the movement option
6 august 2024 he told me he will work on my watch this week.
9 september he told me he has to finish a skeleton project and after that he will finish my build.
After that I never had any other answer.

@Caboose could you add my case in the summary table please ?
@Oascom could you please finish my build as soon as possible please ? we were in contact on instagram for this project (@djthyse).

Thanks in advance.
@Oascom I am still waiting news from you for my project. I contacted you many times on instagram but have no answer. I recently sent you an email on [email protected] but never got any answer. Can you please tell me when you will finish my build and ship it to me ?

@Caboose no I have no update unfortunately

Hold up, does Oascom really have an email with "RWI" in it? This is very odd.

And sorry you still have not heard back.

Funny how he replied about this

but not about this :)

The cherry on top is the shipped the wrong item.

All he had to do was address the situations with, "I'm working on it and it will be done on x", or "I will ship the customer the correct item on my dime."

But he has not, and clearly will not. All we get is copied and pasted (apparent due to broken formatting), AI generated, walls of text trying to paint himself as the victim, asking for respect.

Absolutely insulting to RWI and anyone waiting on a watch.

But I urge anyone to come forward that claims they have either not been refunded or received their project.
•All watches are being completed.
•The majority of pending orders are already finished.
•If you have concerns or feel left behind, please contact me directly at my email and I will address your issues promptly.

LOL.

I have to say, it’s unsettling how many familiar names have chosen to associate themselves with this guy by becoming members and participating as providers on his new forum. I was raised not to associate with criminals, I always thought that was a pretty natural mindset. Apparently not.

I’m all for forgiveness (if deserved), but this feels way too soon. The way this has been done comes across to me as an undeserved jab at RWI.
I also don’t understand what they have to gain from this, as many of them already have all the opportunities in the world here?

I’m puzzled.

You know why? Because most of them have a distaste with RWI (Maybe not all, but most). A couple of them have either been banned or publicly called out for their bullshit on this Forum. They believed Reddit was a better place, and the talk of a forum is not a new idea. That had been discussed years ago.
This was frequently discussed in group chats I was a part of awhile back.

So basically, they’re unhappy about having to meet demands and expectations for the service they provide? If that’s the case, I think many of them could benefit from experiencing a regular job….

Yes, Daniel a.k.a. P4GTR, and Michael a.k.a. Keystone Chrono Works, both had such bad situations we were forced to ban them, but they have made their way elsewhere and setup shop to poor unsuspecting people. I do understand some who have these builds having to sign up over there because they will be banned here, and of course people are now discovering that the value is a fraction of what they have paid for them. You gotta unload them somewhere I suppose?

Shameful. Unfiltered, unchecked sales and service by those who were so bad they had to be banned.

And of course don't forget that all these service dudes eventually come down with horrible disease, SOVID-24

@Caboose I finally had some news from OASCOM. He sent me an email and he replied to me on instagram.
He sent me a picture of all the elements that I ordered for my build and he told me he is working on the watch. He will update me when the build is finish and ready to ship.
Will keep you posted when I have some updates. Huge thanks to the community !

This situation has spiraled out of control, creating unnecessary division.

This is hilarious. I debating posting this but I'm going to.

I regret not having saved the screenshots from the watchmaker group chat I was once part of (maybe I find them ;)) . Do you remember when you ghosted me and created a separate chat without my inclusion, instead of addressing any concerns with me directly?

In that new chat, you spoke negatively about me, claiming I copied your philosophy on websites and your watchmaking journey, despite the fact that I credited you in the relevant thread. You also mentioned that I used the same tools (which I still don’t fully understand because how many tools are there??), among other criticisms. Was your issue with me because I decided to make bezel-removing dies for my own use instead of paying an excessive price of $200 for your 3D-printed tool? Or was it because I didn’t give you exclusive credit for everything along the way? Childish to say the least...

***EDIT....I did find at least one screenshot....
Now you tell me how that makes any sense....so petty.

You talk about avoiding unnecessary division, yet your actions suggest otherwise. While this incident took place almost two years ago, in my experience, people’s behavior doesn’t tend to change significantly. You'll always be on the lookout for your next obscenely priced service, and look to take out individuals along the way.
Unfortunately, many of the other watchmakers in that group simply went along with it, which was disappointing. It revealed a lot about their true colors and the dynamics of the group.

I also don’t understand why you feel the need to create a new forum to discuss watchmaking topics. Surely that can’t be the real reason you started it. It seems more likely that the move was motivated by the need for a fresh start, given that your reputation here has been tarnished. It's clear from your recent posts showcasing "custom" builds that you wanted to distance yourself from past associations. As for the threats and hostility directed at other watchmakers connected to you, that sounds like bullshit.

Lastly, regarding the idea of creating a new forum, this isn’t a novel concept. It had been discussed a long time ago in our group chat. This wasn’t something you came up with independently; the timing simply worked out.

Do I hold a grudge? Perhaps...

I will vouch for this as you and I have never spoken and I was told this from more than one watchmaker that is present in that chat. You were not alone in your feelings FYI, but others did still go along with it. His close friends aren't as close as he thinks. ;)
