Sorry if I'm being thick here, (I probably am), but the list above has 6 names on it. Now I fully appreciate that even 1 person not getting what he paid for is 100% shite, but ....

What happened to all the others ?
Have they actually got what they paid for ?

I mean, if it is 6 guys then now 66.6 % are satisfied, at least the thread is working and hopefully the other 2 MIA Watches will be back to their rightfuls and they will be happy by Christmas ;)

@Dave2302 I think those are just users that came forward with the issues but more went to the mods and I think also more clients on one of the sister sites as well. The mods mentioned heaps of tickets and things earlier in the thread. Hopefully it is all getting processed though

I think is a fluid list as more people appeared and spoke up. Who knows how many others are out there with no representation, It's a nightmare headache for all involved trying to sort. As I said at the begining of this thread, mad respect for the admins and mods for having to fix this screwed up mess.

Perhaps @Caboose @trailboss99 a total "number" of wronged could be added at the bottom of the list to make it clear, as obviously that being the case, any new members just coming and reading this will be fully informed (y)

It's up to people to share with us their story to get it on that list. Some people are more private. The table seeks to summarize the 22 pages of complaints received and show the progress being made. I don't think you are going to see a public number released by staff. You might get a, "process is being made," but not much dlse. But anyone is willing to share publicly here their experience, and I can add it to the table. Frankly, unhappy people are more willing to come forward so I'd assume things are moving fairly quickly which is good.

Yes, I hear what you are saying, and just to be clear I don't think anyone, myself included wants to see names, addresses, sex, DOB, $$$$$$$$ etc i.e. chapter and verse, just perhaps, (and only if it's possible), something like Total number of valid complaints = xxx at the top or bottom of the page.

I can also see that user names is not necessary, that was a stupid comment I made without thought :rolleyes:

Of course it should not be something that takes a whole bunch of staff and your own valuable time just an indication of the scale of this whole cluster fuck ;)
That was my only reason for tagging TB as the staff may have a recorded number.

I almost did not come forward in this thread (but I’ve had a Help Desk Ticket for weeks now). I can’t imagine how many more there are that aren’t public knowledge. It’s none of our business. We know everything we need to know.

If members cannot encapsulate the severity of the situation after 22 pages and feel not "fully informed", I don't know what to tell you. They can't be helped. What else can we do? Hand over the keys to the RWI treasury? C'mon. We're not gonna give away our state secrets just because curiosity. People need to look after themselves. RWI does enough on its end.

November 7 he told me he has my watch and dial ready and he only needed to assemble it together.

It’s been 6 weeks since that email and the responses since from then til now he keeps saying it will be done soon

I’m not a watchmaker but I assumed it only takes around 20-30 minutes to change a dial over?

I for one would not pay anyone I didn't know up front for a job, I certainly wouldn't go near OASCOM with someone elses pole.

FWIW, (not much), the reason for my curiosity is, (IMHO), if it is 1 - 10 it's serious enough, and likely a result of bad business decisions by
OASCOM ....

If as others and I suspect it's gotten to way higher numbers, then the guy should be jailed or worse, because then it becomes an ill thought out way to scam folks and abuse one's "Trusted Status" and for whatever wacko reasoning he didn't think he would get this much shit.

So I apologise for the curiosity, and will simply do what I said and should have done in post #425, i.e. I will STFU now.

I most sincerely hope everyone scammed gets a resolution they are happy with, and the hard working officials here are not gonna get any more to deal with, and I thank y'all for everything you all do for the Forum

It depends on the movement and case. If the movement can accept the dial without modification and you follow proper bench procedures and so on, maybe 90 minutes with checks and hand fitting (honestly, the absolute WORST part, and I fucking hate it). Admittedly, I'm very much a beginner and a hobbyist, but I've done it in less than an hour on my moonswatch customs.

For a Daytona, which is a more difficult hand setting procedure, there is no way it takes a professional watchmaker more than a hour to set all six hands and test the chrono reset.

Me personally, max 30 minutes if I don’t have to mess with tightness or broaching.

I can’t do it in 30 mins. Especially not with moonswatch rep hands that can break if you breathe too hard 🤣
But even with extra care and assuming good parts all ready for a rep rolex build, full assembly & test under an hour easy
