Wear replica to Panerai outlet.

I don't know wittnauer... Did you notice that Toro and Puretime and intime and perfect clones had their websites shut down a few months ago??? Probably because you wore that 243 to an AD.

Obviously I'm kidding and at this point we're beating a dead horse. To each his own. We're all grown-ass men that can make our own choices and no TD is going to get shut down if one of us wears a rep to a watch store.

I think my comment is being taken a little out of context here. If enough people come into an AD saying "check out my replica watch" that information may very well make it back to Officine Panerai. Over time, that information most certainly will be used to make watches which are more difficult to replicate.

I am not suggesting that wearing a rep to a dealer means Angus is getting a visit from the authorities, just that as these companies produce new models they will take even greater efforts to make their products difficult to replicate.

If i never find this site and this rep games, i will never know all these brand except Rolex , never get into any AD, never crazy bout watches,
never craving for perfection, and never buy a gen :)
those AD and brand should thank us, because each time people get into an AD either to buy or not (who knows) indirectly we increase
their percentage and chances of getting a successful purchase.

Noted with respect ILTW. I'm not even sure why I felt the need to defend the normalcy of the act. Didn't know I had it in me, tbhwy.

But now you have started an interesting point:
The rep industry challenging Officine Panerai to make more interesting models is something I didn't think of, but that would in turn challenge the rep industry, which is great. What that means is that they will be better equipped to correct the horrible replica's they have produced in the past.

I shouldn't start this.. lol
I'm off for now... cheers!

Believe me, I get your point. I am just trying to have a sense of humor. Apologies if it comes off wrong. Let me tell you a "quick" story...

I used to work for a company that made sporting goods. We only had roughly $140 million in sales at the time, yet we had a team of 3 people dedicated to working with Chinese authorities to set up sting operations to shut down local factories manufacturing fake products. These products were arriving on our shores and being sold in small 3rd tier sports stores.

Our team would research online and meet shipments at the ports and occasionally get to go to China to participate in one of these factory shutdowns in person. The shut downs were a joke. The team would travel to a temporarily abandoned factory in Guangzhou... Just few miles from where our real products were produced. They would find a guy there with a few workers. The guy would get "arrested" and the workers were sent home. The items were then thrown into a furnace. It amounted to a poorly choreographed Kabuki dance where we were shown a 1:1 replica of a real sting operation. LOL!!!

The point is Panerai, Rolex, Hublot, Omega, etc, etc, etc all have commited teams of people using google to find our dark secret places and working to "stop" the replica trade (and guaranteed ordering from our TDs themselves to monitor how good the reps are getting). Nothing you or I do as consumers walking into ADs with reps on our wrist will do anything to escslate their enforcement activities.

The unspoken truth and the real joke is that who do you think funds the replicas on our wrists?.... Did you know that the replica consumer goods industry is estimated to be 5%-10% of global commerce? Do you think The Chinese government would be missing out on that revenue, let alone failing to support it??? Not to mention the fact that the makers producing today's replicas, will be producing tomorrow's legit made in China high end watches. It is a breeding ground for China's industry of tomorrow.

Really insightful comment, thanks for sharing. I would love to hear more about your 1:1 replica raid experience.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant "we" as in the company. I wasn't actually present. The story I am conveying is a first-hand account from a coworker who was present at the raid.

The safest most secure place on Earth to wear a Gen $25,000 white gold ceramic Submariner is in the watch markets of China ! Everyone there will think it's a fake !! In other parts of the world, a beat up Canal St. special could cost you your life ! I guess the rep business has reached a point where it is becoming so common, it is a way of life. But I as a matter of common decency, I still remove my rep when venturing into an AD's store. I just don't feel "right" wearing it inside the store. And also, not being paranoid here, just being smart, but in a big mall with AD's in it, the 'bad' guys could be casing the customers who are actually leaving a high-end jewelry and AD, wait for you to leave, watch you roam around, follow you to your secluded parking space, and 'Bam' take off with your so called $25,000 1 is to 1 Swiss made Replica thinking it was a the real thing !! Knocked on the ground, all for a $350.00 Rep !! They will show you no mercy, they might think its real !! It could happen you know. And those guys don't stake out the McDonalds to pull a fast one !! I would usually put on a Seiko, or Orient, or something else I keep in the glove compartment. It makes for a more unpretencious and friendly visit. I get the nice hello greeting and honest goodbye when I leave. Makes for a nice afternoon stroll. I really honestly think so. Things are not what it seems nowadays. It is a changing world. Blend in, not flash out.

LOL,

No, don't misunderstand. The Chinese Socio-economic model is tremendously influenced by Chinese SOEs (State Owned Enterprises) these are government entities that control major industrial and resource refining, but under those there are thousands of smaller government entities controlling smaller level manufacturers. To give a first hand example the factory that made our products was small part of a large conglomerate (for lack of a better term) of factories that would refine metal alloys and make consumer goods out of them. They were "state" owned by one of these sub-SOEs These sub SOEs are controlled by local governing bodies. There are some "private" factories. But even they need to Kick up funds to the local bodies to operate. The chance that these factories can operate without government influence and knowledge is slim.

Am I saying that Xi Jinping is making your DSSD? LOL... No but lack of enforement is consent. I know this from working in an industry effected by their policies.

Excellent information followed by intelligent well articulated real life experience facts. Thank you for the follow up and for understanding my humor in questioning your post. This information should serve others well in understanding the schematics involved in the manufacturing process overseas.

Oooh come on guys!!! This topic has been discussed before in another exactly similar thread! Just cut the crap talking already. Please don't interfere people's choice or opinion on "wear replica to panerai outlet", THERE WILL ALWAYS BE TWO OPINIONS ON THIS SUBJECT.

And, eventhough one side always feels the most right, there are still millions of rep wearers out there on earth that NEVER reads or even becoming members of these rep forums we are in !!

Just wear what you want to wear and don't blame other people for wearing it everywhere they want to go!

We are here to nurture our hobby and love of watches. Only that! Please focus.

Ok , ok, not wanting to take sides here, I will add a couple more links to my venerable 16610 Sub. so I can slip it into my ankle, that way I can feel confident and honorable stepping into an ADs store with vacant wrists. Hopefully, they wont make me sit down while trying on their Gens. I might forget and cross my legs ! Now where did I put those extra links honey ? ........

Why on earth are you guys replying to an eight month old thread?
Don't you people check the age of a thread before replying? Given the nature of the thread what the hell is the point in replying?
