When the self service bin is emptied at the Post Office (and any international tracked and signed to the States) they are all scanned again to show they have been collected, then again to show they are off to the Airport, then yet again to show they are received at the airport, then they show up on USPS tracking a few days later and are again scanned about 4 or 5 times before they are delivered.

That's about 9 to 10 scans that this item "missed"

If it's handed over the counter then they are checked out to the collecting postman. If the number the computer says there should be is different to the physical number then all hell breaks loose trying to find it.

You aint far away anyway, the post office you used is just around the corner a bit so you are local and if everything else fails a drop in enquiry at the local shop or pub will soon find you.

A refund would be the best option. In the case of a chargeback a hold will be put on the seller's account and funds will be frozen. The process can take awhile plus a chargeback fee is put on the seller I believe. Also Paypal will determine the end result of the resolution..it may not go your way. Ugh!
