actually the tracking hasn't updated in over 2 months.
The fact is we could all see that you have been online, and checking your PMs, and you chose to ignore the PMs from an admin as well. that does not look good for you.
The terms that we normally go by when the seller accepts no responsibility after posting is for REPS, since there is a risk of seizure by customs etc. But this is a gen sale, everything is legal, so you should take responsibility as well.
I just also wanted to point out on the receipt he used a self service kiosk.
http://www.postoffice.co.uk/post-go-in-branch
looks like this nifty koisk will scan your barcode for your tracking etc. HOWEVER with royalmail registered items you can easily get a tracking number which is in the system and still hold onto your item. Even when you pay at a counter after paying and getting your receipt and the tracking number has been scanned into the system you have to drop off the package at a hatch at the end of the row of counters, there is normally a pile of registered and unregistered mail there and the post office only take them in from time to time. So you can not drop your item there, or if can be stolen by someone walking past. Registered mail is a joke and should not be used for anything valuable. Just because the tracking is in the system there is no guarantee it was physically accepted at the post office, since all the stuff in the hatch just gets dumped into a the mail bag to wait for royal mail collection.
I'm guessing when using the self service kiosk it is the same, scan and pay for your item at the kiosk, then drop off into the hatch area.
This is the reason when I was an ebay seller in UK I NEVER sent using registered mail, only with special delivery does the office office immediately accepts the item and puts it behind the counter.
I also want to point out the seller sent by International Tracked:
http://www.royalmail.com/personal/international-delivery/international-tracked-signed
this does not seem a very good service to send a GEN watch by, namely that it doesn't even require a signature on delivery.
And he just decided not to pay for additional insurance as £50 is the default amount covered:
http://www.royalmail.com/international-delivery/international
I would also like to add that this is not a registered mail item, registered mail tracking starts with R and that requires signature on delivery, and normally the postal service of the destination country will also add on their own tracking number when they receive it so it is tracked through their system also.
tracking numbers starting with L are mail items which provides tracking normally within the origin country only, Once it hits the destination country the postal service there treats it as regular mail and no tracking is provided, and no signature is required on delivery. I know this from experience from buying things and being given L tracking numbers
HOWEVER even items with L tracking numbers should show progress within the origin country and show when it left the origin country.
e.g. with strapcode, the tracking numbers they send me start with L, and it updates to the point of leaving the USA, then after a couple week just appears in my mailbox.
So in short, yes there are ways to exploit the system so you have a tracking number that is in the system and still have the package in your hand.
I cannot comment on if you didn't drop off the package or someone stole it from the hatch. But I am inclined to believe that you never dropped it off.
But the facts are:
- You ignored PMs from both DVNE and an admin
- The package you "sent" is suspiciously light
- You sent by a totally inadequate service for a gen watch
