VSF VS3135 Submariner Comparison Against the Gen

Yeah cause I’ve decided the biggest tell is if your sub isn’t worn like the tool watch it is. People see expensive watch used as a beater and they’re like “yeah this guy is wealthy”

Gen tube and crown will sort that. Might do even do that myself. Hands too..

Correct me if Im wrong but on your pictures hour hands borders definitely looks better and slimmer than the old one? Especially borders around the lume?

Mate you have been asking the same for the last 30 pages in this thread. If you got a hands obsession at least you should be able to tell by yourself or just change them for Gen hands. Anyways here a collage of LV, LN and gen hands. Hands are the same on LV and ln, they probably look different because of focal length and light. the hands situation was already talk through and in my opinion they look fantastic ofc I would always change rep hands for Gen hands.

This the best Sub rep to ever be produced in my 20yrs of the hobby and folks are going on about the minutia of a few manometers of silver border around the lume. if the few thousands of a milimeter bother you about buying a very near genuine like sub rep in both look and feel, go and buy another rep that may cost more and will feel and or look like a rep that might have hands but a crap crystal and crown guards and a bracelet you could have a shave with.
Hands are an easy change anyway, a hand press costs about 10$, and cost of hands would be less that the overspending on the other watch(?).

TC subs were great example's close: but they couldn't take a 3135 and the crown guards were never quite there.

You could say the same about any flaw on anytop rep

Yes and no, there are some flaws that extremely annoying in my opinion, like a wrong case and cw, it takes more work and time to fix those flaws and sometimes they actually don't work. As for the hands, dw, crystal and movement those can be fix easier. We are talking about the thickness of the hands, which in my previous collage look same as Gen hands. Owning a Gen also gives you a better feel of what it really matters on the watch.

You could begin with a zzfv2/s for a start.

Look these are my opinions, like assholes, some are bigger than others. I’m a 43yr old Submariner enthusiast, for decades and I’ve got and had lots of genuine watches and rep. I have new ARF and latest Noob reps here too and I’m not raving about any of them at all. I’m not a 23yr old instagramfacebooktiktuber with no life experience taking pics to make myself look good.
If you choose to buy a VSF it will not disappoint, I promise.

Peace to all, enjoy your choice, but I know what I’ll be buying next - a VSF 116610LN just so I have a spare just like my gen.

So with all that said, why do you continue to champion the VSF as having (in your own words) an amazing crystal, DW and hands, then proceed to spend I imagine $1k + changing/modding all three?
