VSF VS3135 Submariner Comparison Against the Gen

So with all that said, why do you continue to champion the VSF as having (in your own words) an amazing crystal, DW and hands, then proceed to spend I imagine $1k + changing/modding all three?

I’ll not be doing any of that, out the box it’s good enough for a Submariner savant like me. I’m not tying to fool anyone, if you want to pull the wool, put as many genuine parts on that you can find - but it’s still a rep. Out the box, leave it there, it’s really very impressive out the box. Put it next to a real one and you will need a loupe and 20/20 vision to see any major shortfall.

Fair enough mate, I believe you. Was just a little perplexed by young Jays need to do all three, considering he feels they are “amazing” and factually the best.

Because regardless if a watch is good out of the box, I would always change those parts in any rep. Gen parts will always be superior to rep parts no matter how good they get. As I said after owning a Gen the things that matter to you change. Also I decided to mod as I will be using my spare vsf parts on another built, sweet upgrade. Having a watch that's 99% gen like for 1/10 of the price it's a pretty sweet deal to me. The more you know, the further you go.

I don't think people Franken watches to fool anyone but for their own sake. Sometimes that more ignorant you're the more money you either save or spend lol

Thank you captain obvious, that’s a redundant kop out, of course upgrading to gen parts is always going to elevate a watch and yield better results. That doesn’t change the fact that you’re steadfastly continuing to crow that the VSF is “amazing” and the “best”, how amazing can they be if you’re replacing them entirely?
