Hello everyone! I’m new in the forum, but been reading from the shadows a long time. I’m about to buy my first rep and i think it is between RXF or VSF. There are much differences? Apart from the movement obv. I want something reliable and easy to service if needed, and my fear is that vs3135 is none of those, but maybe it’s not that difficult and it’s worth to get it over RXF. Not planning on franken. Sorry i’m such a noob. Thanks in advance!

Welcome. I’m waiting on a LN VSF currently. I have an RXF LN and a VSF Hulk. I did an opinion thread comparing the RXF with an ARF V1 Hulk and the VSF that I own.
I like the RXF but I’ve ordered the VSF LN because I’m very impressed by the VSF Hulk

Ive been reading through the thread as much as possible, it’s pretty long! I’m trying to get up to speed as best I can with the latest replica subs. I can’t believe how good they are to be honest. I’m clearly not as well educated on the world of replicas as some of you fellas. But it looks like they’re getting close to perfect. If you don’t mind I have a couple of questions that I haven’t found answered in the thread.
Can we say at this point that the vsf is the best sub replica? I know it’s a bit of a subjective question to say the least..., but it seems to get the best over all positive feedback. Also when it comes to switching parts out for genuine ones. Is that something you guys are doing yourselves, or someone offers that service?

You’ll never get a definitive answer on which is best. Because none are perfect you have to personally decide which things matter most to you.
If you want my personal opinion the VSF is so close to the gen, I’m almost positive you’d be happy if you bought it.
Unless you have experience working on watches I wouldn’t attempt to swap parts yourself, gen parts are expensive and things like hands and ceramic inserts are very fragile.
There are loads of guys on the forum that can help you, depends where you’re based.

Thanks that makes sense. I’m based in the Uk. Ideally I get the watch and then maybe get modifications made to it if there’s things I can improve. Are there UK dealers or do you guys get your watches imported? A friend has said he can get me a sub produced by a factory called JF. But he knows about as much about replicas as I do, so as much as he likes his watch, he probably doesn’t really know about the finer details and ‘tells’. And the VFS version seems to be very highly regarded by you guys who seem very knowledgeable! Ideally I get my watch from a UK based dealer that comes recommended.

I usually order my watches through Supermirrors. The guy is called Sead and he does keep some stock in the UK.
I believe KS Watches are also UK based but obviously all the reps come from China at some point.
Living in the UK we are lucky as customs are very lax and our postal service trustworthy. I’ve never had a watch go missing in over 5 years.
Member ADO213 is uk based, he is a very good watchsmith/ watch modder and a really nice guy.

I’ve got a zzf v3 no date sub and am very pleased with it. Today I have received a vsf ym with oyster flex and wow, it’s amazing, can’t fault it at all. Both were from Sead at Supermirrors

If you haven't see this post, it may be helpful. The results aren't in, yet, and it doesn't cover movements or replacment of parts.
VSF is damn good. Once the rehaut is fixed, and provided they don't introduce any new flaws in its place, it's the clear winner in my opinion. How its clone 3135 movement holds up over time is anyone's guess at the moment.

Angus review doesn't really matter anymore, it's too late. There are already good reviews from vsf vs Gen and zzf. Every single Gen owner preferred the vsf and from the pictoral reviews most of the people agrees with that. You most likely will die waiting for the perfect rehaut from vsf and if it ever happens you have to pray they don't fuck something else. My opinion if you're in the market for a sub just go for it.
