There are better examples around. If you are going to toss everything but the case anyway, you might go for LV, they seem to come with better engraving.

That was actually the plan but it was more expensive just to get the LV when im not using any of the LV parts and was told by the dealer its the exact same case.

For what it's worth I got QCs just yesterday (so assuming it may be the "newer" batch, if there really is one) and the rehaut is definitely misaligned (though I don't personally care too much about that).

It is definitely acceptable. The spacing of the letters is correct (R O L E X). Just shift the dial a tad to the right and it looks fine. In other examples it looks more like RO L E X

Around 700€-750€ for crystal and hands + around 130€-150€ for dw
Full agreement. And spending 1000€ for a very close Rep instead of 8000 for Gen is worth it in my opinion
With this mods you delete the flaws for the eyes after that you need magnifying glasses to spot something.

That's too much for a crystal.
Not worth it, in my view.
VSF has a very nice crystal already (I know nothing beats the gen, but with 700€ I can buy two more reps
)...

Ok, my bad then!
But still, I remember seeing some gen crystals for 300 to 350$ (less than €). Hands are that expensive?
I can only speak for my VSF Rolex Yachtmaster (also have 3 Omega, but I will only use the Yachtmaster as reference).
It's NWBIG for me, definitely.
I'm trying to search for big flaws and can't find them - even inspected the watch under a loupe.
It's scary good what VSF is doing with their reps.
I don't see the need to spend almost 1000$ to franken a VSF, honestly.
But I'm not judging, of course...

Well I read it in a way that for around 1200€ I have almost a 1:1 to my eyes (and to any trained eye without magnifying loupe) that I can happily enjoy.
Nothing beats gen crystal
And yes, I can buy other two reps for the price of the parts, but I do prefer quality to quantity, at the end of the day I have no time for all watches!

At the end of the day what matters is how you feel with it.
A rep must be faithful to the gen counterpart, of course, but I'm buying reps because of their quality.
Friends and family know that I have some reps because I tell them. No one, or almost anyone, will be able to distinguish a VSF, like this Sub, from a gen!
But it's a matter of personal taste I guess.
I'm perfectly happy with all the components and I prefer buying other pieces (you always have the time for a new watch
).But, if you seek perfection, go ahead. You have a very nice piece there.

As they all do, ARF was the same for a long time people kept saying improved DW but no announcement from them. Just good and poor printing.

in the end I am convinced to buy one, it will replace my old WM9v2. and I also accepted the first QCs, but at moment I don't think there is any improvement on the R front
