Got my most parts, had to buy donor vsf3235 fully brand new sub 126610LN and that costed me 650£ plus genuine parts crystal and lots of other genuine parts down to the hands and most moving parts as the bridges and date disk and balance wheel and all those, looking into my watch would be near impossible to actually say it’s RP as even main plate I got is the generic replacement plate same machining and manufacturing as Rolex or to standards this plate is used for repairs and service if not mistaken, correct me guys if wrong, thanks all soon will post some great photos!

The process of building is so so so much satisfying and enjoyable!

I guess this pice now worth a few thousands as 98% of movement is genuine and all rest on exterior is about 57/65% genuine!

Actually case and strap and clasp is from my previous brand new Clean Factory 126610LN

Just waiting for my date disk and gaskets!

Actually even crown and steam is all genuine

Well I can say from 650£ spent on vsf and 700£ spent on cf126610ln and then on top of that all parts about 3700£ so in all we looking a it’s tops 3900£ at this price you get genuine omega speedmaster even for less 1900-2900£, but again we talking about movement that is 98% genuine at this stage

Finish my build almost just awaiting for gen plate to arrive I think from vsf only 2% left and that is date top plate and intermediate wheel and still did not put my gen stem in to my gen crown, rest is gen, it costed me all in all with some people helping me from watch Buisness all just under 3200£ an gen 3135 movement costs 2800£ for 40mm sub, could get that but I just went for big boy!

@dogwood hi friend, amazing thread, now I have 99% gen 3235 I have rebuilt all and oiled all cleaned and now when put all back the minute and all gears it’s like they stuck don’t move and then fork and balance wheel individually they move but when in place balance wheel only turns one side like something stoping it form make full left right swing only one way, all checked fork and escape wheel and balance wheel all are in outstanding condition and nothing missing, all minute and all gears are great condition, bridges all tide with screws not to over but just spot on! Any ideas 💡 on what can this be ? Thanks guys much appreciated

My guess is that you’ve installed the balance on the wrong side of the pallet fork horns. If the balance wheel swings one way but feels like it’s hitting a wall in the other direction, then you are in a situation where the balance is “over banked”. Remove the balance and re-install it being careful to do so correctly with the impulse jewel pre-swung in the direction that the pallet fork is pointing.

So you have an example so that I try that out and make it correct ? Thanks a lot much much appreciated friend

Oh and this balance wheel and spring already came pre installed so all I had to do it just install the balance wheel on to the bridge by just fitting small pin in to the gap lose the screw and tide that up 👍🏻 I don’t know if there is other way around it ? Unless this was mistake at factory as I bought it brand new wheel and spring as one unite 🤝🏻

No. Remove the balance complete. That is, remove the balance wheel AND the bridge as one part. Then re-install it correctly. I would strongly suggest you lookup what “over banking of a balance” is on YouTube. It’s hard to describe with words but basically the impulse jewel is on the wrong side of the pallet for because you didn’t orient the balance correctly when you placed it on the mainplate.

Usually done manually - by eye - looking through the banking pins and rotating the Balance Spring Collet until it lines up as perfectly as you can get it. It must be as central as possible otr you'll get wild Beat Error.

Sorry - cancel that - you're not trying to align the Impulse Jewel just trying to get it dropped in to the right position.
Start by flicking the Pallet Fork fully over to the right as you look down on it. Then bring the balace bridge down on to it slightly from the left and rotate very gently in place to engage the Jewel in the pallet Fork Pin. It might take a few goes. Be gentle.

Are these 4 parts the only ones you ended up swapping in the end? And can I please ask how much did it cost in the end? Thanks
