VSF Panerai Submersible Wrong Xstal Issue ( Say Goodbye To Amplify Effect Xstal)

Hi, I sent a PM to ETAZHAZAM and got some crystals without fisheye effect so I could have some of my submersibles on pair with it's gen models.

The crystal is amazing, top quality, perfect fitment with stock gasket. Now the watch is perfect, and the dial now has the same deep look as gen, and wit no distortion, absolutely genlike!

I recomend this upgrade to everyone. I now have my pam979 right as you can see by the following pictures, and I will post some.other pics tomorrow when I will receive my pam799 also with this crystal.

Just spotted this thread, looked at my 984... damn... I can't unsee the extreme-angle distortion now.

Do the latest 984s have the correct crystal now?

Does the dial look much different with the correct crystal?

Hi Etron, all of them still come with wrong crystals, too bad....
Yes, the dial looks amazing with correct crystal by not having the lens effect, and the bezel looks bolder due to the deeper dial, just like gen! Amazing changes only because of the crystal.
I really want this in my 671 now too. It will look just like gen

I bought a few of these crystals and I'd really like to put them on a few particular models so if someone wanted to post a lite tutorial on swapping out the crystal on a steel and Carbo tech model that wouldn't be a bad thing.

Apparently TC was selling them if you read the content of this thread.
I do not know of other sources of crystals for submersibles pam, but you can contact Prof, for example, maybe he can help with something.

Good day. I say no.
You can look at the threads of the discussion of these models, there are photos from blurred angles showing that there is no fisheye.

Also the 1176 crystal is different than most other vsf crystals for models of the same size. It seems to not have ar on it or something. I’m not sure if this is done to make it more gen like as I’ve never seen the 1176 in person but i bet vsf did this for a reason. It might have something to do with the dial but not sure. Which all I am saying is good for thought.

But it doesn’t have the fisheye as lot mentioned so you’re all set there.

Hi guys

today I bring the good news for all Panerai lover


as we know the new collection submersible rep by vsf have the wrong xstal.
I love the 42mm submersible but the crystal with amplify effect is disturbing me a lot
There is a watch modder just develeped the right cystal basing the vsf submersible case, I purchaed a few xstal for test and my watch smith replaced for me. Lets see the review that I did this is my pam960 after replacing xstal

there is no amplify effect any more hahaha

the xstal comes with no Ar coating just like gen.




Any opinion of Paneristi?

I have the same carbon sub, received back in March of 2021. Still has fisheye effect. Might reach out to Prof to see if he can source a replacement that is more similar to gen.

I fully agree with the benefits of improving the crystal by 42mm pams, but I still recommend not mentioning NWBIG or something like that, because the thickness and proportions of any 42mm VSF submersibles cases leave much to be desired.
