Interesting.. was this info from a TD?

I have tried patina mine with saltwater as I do regular swims. Nothing sticks. Not unlike the bronze used in the lates pilot watches : https://puretimewatch.io/pilot-type...-green-dial-on-green-leather-strap-a2824.html
It's a completely different raw material mix vs older VSFs.

And this is due to the bronze/metal being better back then as you mentioned in later posts or why do you say this ?
