Anybody succeeded in removing the bezel without any specialist watchmaker removal tools ? I'd like to align my insert and am worried to take the knife in-between the case and bezel. Gap seems to be too tiny to pry it open anyway.

Hey guys, I'm new to reps and after first seeing this watch i've fallen in love. I was looking to order the VSF version from puretime but just before I start the process, I wanted to check how long it usually takes to arrive from the very beginning of the process to my door? I'm moving house in two weeks so if it's going to take a few months to recieve QC I could start now as i'm a little eager to recieve my first rep.
Cheers in advance :)
I'd say atleast a month before it reaches your door

My first rep should arrive this week. Pulled the trigger last days of May. Same TD.. I will take this timing as a refer to future orders, next will be this Seamaster.

I'm after the same quest myself, wouldn't dare the butter knife 'method'

For this watch it took 20 days from payment over QC to shipment to my door (from China via triangle to GER). TD: PT.

A butter knife is a little thicker than is often ideal, but this is the method. A kitchen pearing knife or even a utility knife with a razor blaze will usually work better as they are thinner. You can put a little tape on the case to protect the case from scratches and then you slip the knife in between the case and the bezel and carefully pry/twist. Once the bezel is off then you will be able to get at the insert. Warming the insert a bit with a hair drier or heat gun will soften the glue or tape that was used and make it easier to remove the insert. Once the insert is out clean everything up and put the bezel back on 1st BEFORE installing the insert again.

I wouldn't advise prying out the bezel. I talked to Domi and showed him the construction. It's different from the Submariner construction since its tighter. When you try to remove the bezel you either scratch/damage the case and/or bend the bezel. If you have a bent bezel you are not able to put it back on as it was before. Domi refused to try this on this watch due to the risk of damage and he is one of the most experienced watchmaker here.

Better solution for insert aligmnent. Thats what I did: You can simply raise and take off the insert without removing the bezel. Just use a thin standard razor blade. Heat up the insert/bezel with a hair dryer to soften the glue a bit. Heat it up for around 2 mins. Put the (slighlty bent) blade between the bezel outline and the insert and try to push the blade a bit under insert. You'll see it will lift and you can take it off. Then just re-align and put it back. No damage, no scratch, no bending whatsoever. The insert is thick enough not to crack. It's thicker than an insert from a Submariner.

domiffm thanks for the instructions. Did you go under the bezel insert from the inside or the outside ? The gap seems so tiny, can’t imagine my razor blade fitting there comfortably. But I’ll try anyway. Did you use any adhesive to put it back in place ?

From the „outside“ gap/ring of the bezel. Not the „inner“ gap where the insert meets the crystal. Check out the gap, it’s big enough to fit a razorblade in between.

I used this thing here. The marked part is what I put in the gap. Just bend it with your thumb, forefinger and middlefinger a bit so it will have the same curvature like the gap.

I used the same residual glue/adhesive to put it back.

I am still loving mine. It is like a chameleon. Lots of different looks depending on the lighting.

whew, thanks ! Did the temperature get really high ? Does the bezel itself get looser through the heating ? I really can't seem to fit a razor between the gap... Its just so shallow...

Wu has become expensive and difficult to use in China compared to other countries. If I send the $400 in the Phillipens it cost $10. If I send $400 is China it costs $40 and still difficult to pick up the money. When I paid a TD with Wu in China the money was going to Taiwan. My numbers here are approx. based on when Wu was available at TD's. China uses WeChat Pay and Alipay at no additional cost. They are not going to let Wu take over the transfer business without making it very difficult. To use WeChat and Alipay you need a Chinese bank account. Every time I tried to add a USA account to either Alipay or WeChat it gets stopped. So we are stuck with Bitcoin, or credit cards.

Have you used TransferWise? I used it yesterday to send $360 to China and only had $5 in fees.

Tried to order the new one with bracelet v2 at trusty in blacky.Got 2 QC with old bracelet, after not approving them I switched to the grey one in the hope of new stocks. But even the grey one has the old bracelet. I accepted then before Andrew killed me. What is this? Does the factories has got so much old stock?

Fucking Andrew can burn in hell! Demand a refund and ask him to fuck off!

Its only him, EVERYONE else have got good V2 watches! Why would you settle for a V1 when you clearly ordered a V2 is beyond me!!!

DEMAND A REFUND!!!! You wanted a Black one and that is what you should get! If HE can’t find a good black v2 there are several others that can!!!

It was probably a watch rejected by someone else. I received my V2 bracelet months ago.
