One thing for sure the date is more visible on black....I think the best looking is Black but the grey is so unique it might be harder to recognize as Replica, the blue to me is irrelevant since its a copy of the 2531.80 even in gen and considering the prices for good 2531.80s there is no excuse not to own one.

Absolutely agree on the date legibility on the gray dial-I can’t read it in anything but good light.
I find the Omega lettering and logo to be very faint too, all reasons that made me choose the gen in black and VSF in gray.

By the way, the poor legibility is not a VSF thing, I found exactly the same holding a gen version of each while deciding which to buy.

It seems like they dropped the ball with the text legibility on the grey dial in both gen and rep..Though I need to look at some gen grey pictures to affirm what I believe

They did white and red text on Blue and Black but not on Grey...Weird choice, internet pictures agree with what we are saying but I would like to hold one in my hand

It's a V2 bracelet. Is that a reflection on the 9 o'clock marker or a lume spill? Plus the date is not perfectly centered in my opinion. I'd ask for a double digit date pic. But I'm sure it's good enough for 99% of the people out there.

It seems like the pearl is not well centred, plus the bezel insert is well off being symmetrical with the bezel ring.

Also, I've compared photos of the below with the pictures on the TD's website which show this part as black but I'm not sure if it's some kind of reflection?

I read 3 qc questions
1) Pearl alignment
2) Bezel alignment with Dial
3) Black bit on movement

1) pearl is off. You could ask for another based in this, however this is being quite picky and you have 0 credability/relationship with your TD at this point. TD might balk at your request.
2) I think everything lines really well. Not sure exactly what you are looking at here, but I would not worry about this one. Often the angle of the camera lenses will make some #'s look off and other ones will be ok. In hand this is a non issue.
3) Balance wheel on everything we have been seeing for quite some time now have been corrected. I think anything you are seeing here is just because the watch and rotor are rotated differently so you think something is off , but in reality it will be the same. This is not something that would change from one watch to another. Another one not to bother with.

I think you probably should accept it, but I wouldn't have too much of an argument if you said you wanted another one with better pearl alignment

2. He's talking about alignment of the bezel with the bezel insert, not the dial. It's definitely out a bit
3. Again, he's not talking about the balance wheel, he's talking about the bit he labelled with great big red arrows.

I'd reject it for the first two of those three reasons, probably not the third.

Thank you for checking. That 9 o'clock thing is a reflection. I'm totally satisfied with that watch and aware that I'm buying a rep (I'm also not lying about it). As long it is nothing major I'm good.

I'm not sure about the answers to your questions, but I would guess that a Gen dial is going to cost you a lot more than you are willing to pay. You might point this flaw out to your TD and ask if because of this VSF would be so kind as to sell you a replacement dial. Another option might be selling this copy to someone that is a little less ocd at a small loss and picking up another one. It's not like I don't see what you are talking about, because I do, but I do think that is something that a lot of people are not going to be too bothered with on the wrist. At normal viewing distance it is going to be a LOT LESS noticeable than in your pic which is significantly magnified.
