Vsf 2018 seamaster diver 300m

Hey guys, I really want to order one of these, in detail the gray dial one. Can anyone tell me if the colors match the gen? Also I heard a lot about the short crown guards. Is this a big tell, or just a minor flaw?

If the lume is a bit off, it wouldn‘t bother me that much.

Look on the "11" of this gen...

I think VSF is so good that it even replicates the flawed "11" we can see on the gen...

Thanks for sharing. Even though I don't care about the "crooked" 11 it's nice to see that the Gen has it as well.

I'm pretty sure they tried to replicate the crooked 11 seen in the gens. I´ve seen some myself and they are pretty much like that. Hence they haven't tried to correct it.

As far as I have seen the grey dial looks pretty good. There is a video from watchmaster on YT comparing it with a gen.
Personally I dont think, that the short CG are a big tell on the wrist.

Thanks so far. My biggest concerns after i saw the video you mentioned, are the waves. The cut doesnt seem so cleen and precise as the gen. Maybe this is just nitpicking...

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I already have a great rep of the seamaster 300 spectre, but I don‘t like the bracelet very much. I only wear it on nato. The steel bracelet is ok, but feels a bit cheap imo. On my VSF AT the bracelet is very good. How is that on this smp?

Sweet Jesus, now that's a surprise! They really pay attention to the smallest detail..I just wish that they'd hire a lume guy who isn't color blind

If you have macro lens to look at it you will see it. But not with your normal eyesight.

These "flaws" are non existing in real life. There are reflections from the crystal and the dial, plus the watch looks way different on the wrist than on a 65" TV macro shots. You can still pony up 4500€ and go gen, if you know that you can't live with that on a 300€ watch...

Noticed a blue plastic tab under the diver’s extension, how do I get that plastic out? Does it require a complete disassembly of the clasp mechanism?

Yeah..... that was me being overly paranoid, saw that under the clasp and was wondering why would there be protective plastic where it's not accessible. I remembered that the watch has a diver's extension about 10 minutes after posting my stupidity to the internet. But all good now tho! Lume mismatch isn't too bad in person too, glad I did not RL.

Exactly what I thought, but according to my TD, that might not be the case so I’m going to stop overthinking a rep and just get it. If I really can’t live with it, could always sell it off.

That’s exactly what i’m thinking too. Just went ahead and paid for it so waiting for the QC pics now. 95% of the population ain’t gonna know shit about the lume discoloration. And it doesn’t bother me one bit, unlike some more obvious such as bolder than usual fonts on the DJ36 for example. And if it so happens that one day my OCD increases tenfold, i’ll just sell it at a slight loss that’s all. Reps are gonna be reps.
