That’s exactly what i’m thinking too. Just went ahead and paid for it so waiting for the QC pics now. 95% of the population ain’t gonna know shit about the lume discoloration. And it doesn’t bother me one bit, unlike some more obvious such as bolder than usual fonts on the DJ36 for example. And if it so happens that one day my OCD increases tenfold, i’ll just sell it at a slight loss that’s all. Reps are gonna be reps.

It’s not too bad, lighting plays all the difference for the lume mismatch IMO. Will try and post some pictures when I get down to actually taking some shot in different lighting conditions. I tend to fixate on these things, think I’d rather have a wrong DW than mismatched lume.

Yeah i'm not too bothered by it. Lighting plays a big part in how it looks. I'll post some pics when i receive the QC photos.

Took a couple of shots today, the mismatch is definitely there no question about that, but the severity depends a lot on the lighting.

It took my watchsmith less than a minute. He's used 1.8mm springbars and he didn't have to bend them. So there's that...

The strap feels amazing and it's much more comfortable than the bracelet or nato.

That is a beauty. Was wanting a blue one in rubber but that may have changed my mind.

It certainly appears they have sorted the dial markers now so just need to get the hand factory in gear! At least it’s easier to relume hands than the markers. More pics in different light please buddy!

Hello my fellows,

I am back with another question.. Im lookin into purchasing a stainless bracelet for my seamaster. But ive read that the v2 bracelet is the best due to endlinks being corrected from v1? Could anyone post a picture of their v2 bracelet so i can get a look at the endlinks and the bracelet as whole. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Nearly every watch pic in this thread has a V2 bracelet buddy. Here is one i have just sold with a gen clasp.

Strange, my blue SMP was purchased November 2019, so not first batch. My hands’ lume are nice white and the indices are yelowish. Exact opposite to what they are now.

The v1 bracelet had other problems in that the centre link was thinner like the older style bond smp. I would imagine they are long gone so you should be ok.

Agreed....
There was a time when this thread was littered with "is this a V1 or a V2 Bracelet" type of questions. It has been ages since anyone got a V1 Bracelet so that is something that at this point you just don't have to worry about.

Holy crap this is the most severe i’ve seen it so far! Wonder if it’s hard to source a set of gen hands..

QC photos are in.

Lume difference between the hands and the dial markers don't look as bad as some here. Or is it the light playing tricks on my eyes?

Does the balance wheel look black to you? Compared to the silver parts it looks ok right? Sorry i'm 20+ but my eyesight is that of a 50 year old..

would say your lume looks pretty even in tone, leaning overall to greenish
From what I see your lume looks greenish on markers and hands. It could be just the light cuz its an old issue that both have a wrong shade. So Chances that its just the light are high.

Balacewheel looks ok to me.

Get the VSF. Its the better watch compared to the OMF.

Never go swimming with a rep exept you got the seals changed and lubed and the watch testes after you get it!
