Nice strap mate, what about the comfort?

Top side feels nice - i dont have a basis of comparison as i have never had a genuine croc strap. The nicest strap i have ever had was the KW burgundy croco that i have on my 359. It looked and felt the best - didnt have that rubbery plasticky feeling to it. This one certainly feels even better on the top grain, and underneath it is buttery smooth. Also unlike our rep straps that you have to break in for a few days, this one seems like it will be 'broken in' instantly. It bends nicely and doesnt have that out of the box harshness that many straps have.

Will be putting it on my watch tonight and will report back. Looks wise, i am sure the difference will not be drastically noticable, only to those that know this hobby well, but the feel of it will change the watch completely for me. Going on this watch btw:

No, vnhandcraftart. Strap is a '22mm Red Brown Alligator for Maurice Lacroix'. Padded, no holes and of course suitable for any deployant clasp that loops the strap underneath. His prices do vary, this one was $35.

Here is an update for you guys. Mounted the strap on my portofino and could not be happier. It feels so much nicer. Here are some pics for comparison

I think you can tell pretty easily, but the gen alligator is on the right (Unmounted in the first picture)

That looks sweet Ruski, must admit I've been really please with the quality and the feel of the croc and photon straps.
Even received a compliment on a red-eye flight this morning for the brown..... makes for a better morning at 5:30am

Well, vnhandcraft got back to me and asked if I still wanted to buy the strap still (it's completed and ready to be shipped). I ordered back in mid-June lol. 2 months for a custom order.

well not even that color more brown and less gold. when I said thats not what I ordered he said we dont have that color anymore can you pick another, I then asked for pictures of the colors he has since its obvious not what he has on eBay and I havent heard back from him.

I didnt pay for anything so maybe I will give the other guy a shot.

Interesting, I spoke with Tuan today for 3 DarkGold alligator straps, 2 for my PAMs and 1 for my IWC, and he said it'd be 5-7 days before their ready...not sure which story is right!

What I asked for was not dark gold so you are good, i ended up buying one from Tuan anyway since they are so cheap.

How do you make custom orders with eBay sellers?

You contact seller and ask them to make custom size, if you look close at some of his pictures you will see his gmail address at the bottom in light red that way you can cut out ebay and contact him direct

I tend to find the pictures from these sellers on eBay are always darker than when the real thing actually arrives.
Best to factor in when ordering colours like dark gold and tan etc.

That's the same sort of timescale we get from other one custom suppliers really, I waited 2 and a half months for my hornback from Jacobo. But it was beautiful when it came though rather more expensive!

Well this maybe a good thing in my case as not only the color was off ..To BROWN it was also to dark! Tuan sent me a tracking number this morning so if he can churn out 3 to 4 straps for what it was costing me with Hamilton and Gunny for 1, I would be happy, though I did very much like Hamilton so he deserves some loyalty and really gunny was the worst because he really took a long time but again his quality was and is just like Hamiltons Extraordinary , Hamilton could get a strap made in a two days it was just the postal system was way slow. With gunny it would take 4 to 6 weeks and then the post was fairly fast. i wouldn't be a bit surprised if it falls to the age old adage "You get what you pay for'

I bought a strap from Tuan without realising that no strap keepers were included. I asked him if he can make 2 keepers for me, no reply on yes or not. =/
