It's ridiculous that we have to go through this. I spent several hours cutting links away, lost an extension link, a jubilee link and 3 screws. The jubilee screws are too tiny to salvage with a 120 screwdriver, the heads get butchered fast and there's nowhere near enough leverage to budge it from the glue. The SD extension link screw was strpped and glued solid, even after it was loose I had no way to extract it as the pin was not exposed on the far side. SMH

It's a pain in the ass.. Luckily I never had this issue.
I think I would try to drill the ends from the opposite side with a micro drill bit (pcb type) turning the screw into a hollow tube.. Still it's a pain and we should not have this sort of trouble after parting from $600 plus..

Drilling into stainless with a .6mm or .7mm bit is a task for only the most skilled. With a hand drill, you won't dent the stainless before snapping the bit. Machine drill sure but you really need a drill press with a bit that small. One thing this hobby teaches us is to get skills or get screwed, lol.

wow ... that's a piss poor quality, even for a rep, especially a 500+ rep.
I think you're better off buying an aftermarket Oyster style bracelet ($30-$80)

I'm wondering if you could buy these watches without the bracelet, just the watch, or on leather strap or nato strap.
Personally I would not want a stainless steel bracelet - I have a feeling that the quality would be low, but not that low.

But as the OP said, it's still is a nice looking watch.

The Noob and in particular the ARF bracelets are very good quality, worthy of using on a gen (I do!). It's just the technique of gluing the screws in that ruins it sometimes.

The aftermarket bracelets are garbage, useful for a random spare part or clasp piece. Or for practicing shaping and cutting on!

It is a Loctide issue as it was said before. Only heat will resolve the problem. I used one of these cigar lighter and it worked perfect.
Forget the oil bath.

How do one heat up the bracelet without damaging it?

Agree on the after market bracelets
My other Noob Daytona I got earlier this December from Noob (316 V2) had so much nice screws, easy to take out and bracelet felt really nice, very close to genuine. Before that I always had issues with ARF screws, hard to unscrew.. all Noob before that were ok to be honest, I believe someone in the factory screwed up the whole loctite thing

Mate you take apart your watches and put it back together with prediction. You press your own crystal without fear :). It's more delicate than drilling into a scree. These screws are buttery soft, they are not hardened. I have the proxxon drill stand and it's a wonderful little precise machine well worth having for anyone into modding. It's not that expensive and great hobbiest tool.

Burning loctite or any glue is same. Doesn't matter if it's a nut in your car or a screw in the bracelet. Just do it in a well vantilted area. Bracelet is all metal, you can't do any demege unless you turn it glowing red. All you need is to Blow torch it for 5-6-7 sec and try... Heat.... Try... Heat..... You get the idea..

I have dealt with good amount of noob and arf bracelets. I can say one thing that noob is going backwards in regards to quality. They are rushing through the processes probably to save time and increase production.
For example, I have the noob gmt ii v2 and the v8. The old V2 links are better finished and clean. V8 felt like a piece of shit the moment I held it in my hands. Had to really work on that bracelet to make it feel good. Also sub v9 bracelet was very dirty and bad non-deburred finish. Latest noob daytona bracelet was ok-ish.

In latest arfs you can see that they have stepped up the game. When I unscrew ithe links and look at the screw female and male parts they relatively gunk free. Almost no black machining residue and well deburred edges and good finishing.

I understand that it happens from time to time but arf is far better than noob when talking about bracelets. Noob is just not what it used to be. By the way arf bracelets are more expensive. Which justifies it and probably priced accordingly higher to match the extra man-hour for finishing

Can you not ask for a replacement bracelet? You are butchering the bracelet to death. :)

This is a rare incident and one could surely return the band for a new one

Yes I may ask but would take ages since now are on holiday plus I am moving to a different country and have so much to sort out apart from dealing with this. Anyway my TD Toro should reply and see if he can send another

I can't see a TD being willing to send a new bracelet for a few tight screws. Extra links and screws, maybe. The bad links can be pulled apart or cut off easily enough afterall.

That's good to hear, that does seem to be a one off (poor quality bracelet finish).
And good to know that the seller would be willing to work with you regarding a replacement.
