I have the opposite problem ! Never been able to remove ANY links out of watch bracelets ! Though I my defence I do have hands that look like a bunch of bananas . I take mine to a professional charges me 10 British pounds ($13) to remove as many links as I like . He tells me usually he has to ultrasonic them to remove any screws . Luckily also having thick wrists 95 % of the rep watches I buy seem to fit using the micro adjustment or closing up a divers extension. I would love to have the skill and dexterity to work on my own watches unfortunately I don't ( though I can change a leather strap )

Even professionals chew up the screws as times!!

i have a feeling that if the oil helped and got one loose, that the ultrasonic might finish up the other two. don't lose hope.

Well it was not the oil.. one of them, the only one I was able to unscrew was dancing on its one thread so I managed to pull out by pushing its other side with a pin.. the other three not able to move a tiny bit, tried with temperature as well. I am done bro, this isn’t a watch for me lolol

send them back the bracelet for a replacement. Once you have the bracelet, if you still are not satisfied you can list it for catch and release

Regardless, order yourself the ultrasonic cleaner. You should have one for jewelry and also watch bracelets,

Sorry this rep didn't work out for you :(

They are on holiday and next month I am moving out of this place for good, changing job and country.. anyway might take it and sell it in Europe after 3 weeks I am there, watch is good apart from those 3 screws

So this is a $688 watch and I cannot unscrew any of the 3 screws in the pic!! I have resized like 200-300 Rolex reps the last 4 years, I had some rough times but never, never had to give up!! This really sucks, I cannot wear this watch and have to send somewhere for some expert to try and do something about it, this sucks!!

You shouldn’t keep going with them , they are sealed
Best to apply WD40 on it before take links off

Finally, will give it a second chance as it is a gorgeous watch, had to add one spare link that I have laying around but fit is great now

Congrats efthimis, wear it in good health!
Dammit, I also would need a spare link for my ARF V2. Does anyone in EU possibly have a spare link for me?

I’m late to the party but glad to see you were able to have some success.

My story involves my new VRF sub. The screws wouldn’t budge. So what eventually worked was first the penetrating oil on each end of the screw and placing upright, waiting for about 30 minutes then same with the other side.
Then since I don’t have a heat gun I used a newer hair dryer and blasted it on high for about 15 minutes.

It it gets so hot that I have to use leather gloves to handle it.

What really helped was using a screwdriver with a pair of pliers clamped around the middle. They act as sort of a breaker bar and gave me much more leverage.

It was slow going and I had to repeat the heat one more time but I got it out. Trick is to secure the piece and keep downward pressure on the screwdriver while turning with the pliers. After doing this I realized it might be easier if I had a small pair of vice grip pliers so I wouldn’t have to squeeze, hold, and turn while working it.

The screws had Loctite all the way up the length of the screw. If they would just put a tiny amount on the threads alone we wouldn’t have to go through this, but I’m sure they’re just putting a drop down the hole and installing the screw.

They are probably putting a drop on the male end of the screw. Afterwards when they install the screw it applies loctite to the entire lot.

They should be applying a tiny amount in the female end. That way the small amount stays localized.

I heard that they are out of baby oil buddy, they have switched to loctite instead...
