Hey guys, I just got an iwc 3713 with an a7750. I try to wake it by swirling or shaking it, but it doesn't wake. It only wakes when I wind it manually (carefully of course) and then I continue to wear it. It has the wort power reserve of all my reps (I have other 7750s as well) and is super noisy even compared to other 7750s. The power reserve is about 12 hours. Any advice? Did I just get a bum movement that just needs to be replaced or serviced?

Anyone have a sure easy way to remember to adjust the day & day date?

Yeah.
Look at your watch when you put it on. If the day and/or date are not correct for the actual day and/or date that it is when wearing the watch, change the day and/or date.
This little trick can also be used as a handy reminder to set the time if it is not correct.
You're welcome.

Sounds like it is not self-winding properly. Either the rotor has come loose or there is a problem with the reversing gear.
The loudness could also be explained by a loose rotor.
Open her up and look. It may be something as simple as a loose rotor screw - which is quite common.

Damaged 7750A..

I got caught at a weak moment.... was 1/2 asleep and tried to reset the DAY/DATE on the watch between 10 and 2.......... Now I cannot reset the DAY / DATE manually. Looks like I stripped or disengaged something.

The watch WILL change day date when operating and hits 12 o'clock. I cannot change it manually.

ANY IDEAS? I have a good watchmaker in NYC .... Is it a big repair??

Not a big repair so much as difficult because of a lack of parts. TBH as long as it changes on it's own I'd tend to leave it alone.

Strangely with all of the 7750 reps around you would think parts would be more readily available.

TrailBoss - I have a question. In your guide - which I first read months ago and have stuck to religiously it says that you should never press the reset pusher whilst the chrono is running.

I have read on several gen forums that doing so isn't a problem as when the chrono is running the reset action is disengaged. This is on the ETA 7750. I wonder if the A7750 is the same or we are being overly worried?

I did that...I can't stop my chrono anymore! Obviously, the reset does not stop/reset the chrono, but it does put things in the movement so that you can't do either: reset or stop the chrono! Is there a DIY way to fix that?

I wish I had read this too. My 7750 stopped working after receiving it and did not know why, I must have reset the date at the wrong time. Now a local watch smith is charging close to $200 to have it fixed.
VERY VALUABLE READ!
