As predicted by others, this topic is dying fast. The pages and posts have slowed considerably at all forums. Hopefully we wont forget about the issue. The dealers in question have remained silent for the most part in hopes it would fade.

Unfortunately "we" as a community have limited ability to affect change here. The admins need to do something. THE FOLLOWING IS JUST HYPOTHETICAL: If the dealers and the admin are close "buddies" we probably won't see anything happen.

I've been toying with the idea of opening a new board, and I'm just looking into the feasability. I don't want to lose money, and honestly I would like to make enough on the board to buy a few watches.

again it's funny that the board took action against PW 3 times but isn't getting this sorted out very quickly.

Tim said he's looking into it and we have no reason to doubt his word.
Something has to come out of it.
It's the dealers silence that bothers me the most though.

It can't happen quickly, as it has to be a uniform punishment across all boards. If Tim were to ban them here, people may just go over to RWG to access them. It has to be a unanimous, unilateral punishment for it to work for all parties.

I haven't been around here in a while but I did notice the price "fixing", if you can call it that at some of our usual suppliers. One would think that the Admins and Mods of this forum and others in order to separate themselves from individuals involved in these questionable practices would no longer have them listed as Trusted Providers and the like.

To allow them to remain reduces this Board to no more than what the B.S. front ReplicaCenter.com is for the fraud known as Ideal Watches. I remain.

After all the information that has recently been revealed, I think I will avoid Josh and Andrew. After being promised by Joshua to have gold plated replacement links sent to me after the bands I received from him had two seized screws, I have never received anything since February. I had to dremmel the links out to size the band. I have bought three watches from Joshua and am very happy with them.

Please give the admin and mod teams of the 3 main fora time to consult each other and come up with a united recourse.

I appreciate the Mods/Admins considering what uniform action to take, however, time is of the essence. I would hate to see this and other legitimate fora fall into the abyss of disrepute due to the lag time associated with establishing a unified response. Any response should be swift and certain.

Please keep in mind that Mods and dealers are scattered around the globe and we don't all speak to each other at the same time. PMs are going back and forth and discussions are being held

Are these dealers still getting top exposure on this forum? Surely they should be suspended pending investigation?

Is there anything any of these 4 guys can say that wouldnt be seen as backpeddling or making excuses??? I cant be the only guy that ever said something wrong to the wife and then made it ten times worse trying to explain  . If i were these guys I would sit back and wait. Yeah I would appologize but in all honesty how many of you would accept that? Would you believe they were being sincere or would you think they were just trying to cover their asses and keep their customers? To me its a NO WIN situation for them and it shouldnt be. They brought whatever action is going to be taken on themselves but I dont think they are up to bitch slapping they would get if they replied to this thread. I have watched members tear into each other over something that doesnt effect either of them and being lied to effects all of us. So like I said I dont see these guys opening themselves up for the abuse that would come. JMHO

well i second the motion of locking down thier sales area till this gets straightened out :) ill bet 1000$ we would get a a resolution FAST :) this actually has precedents as its been done to smaller dealers in the past, when problems of far more insignificience were noted . what i would also like to know have the fab 4 been in touch with our mods on this ?
they sure havent been in touch with us :)

No, we are not going to lock down their sales forum.
We are discussing the issues, and will act when a consensus is made.

We dont want a knee jerk reaction, outcome is never good for anyone.
Please understand that your perception affects you! Our perception is that Our actions will affect thousands and thousands of members. Understand.. Josh and Andrew did not disappear with everyones money.

You're right - they didn't disappear with anyone's money. What they did was defraud paying customers via false advertising and then refuse to make good on the "mistakes" once they became public.

They didn't just take the money and run - they sent a piece of shit instead of the product ordered.
Would you be so accepting if you purchased a diamond that turned out to be glass? (And don't say the analogy isn't the same - fraud is fraud no matter the scale).

The time for appeasement has passed. We don't need these folks - we can survive very well on our other honest dealers. I'll bet they would appreciate the increase in business. Perhaps they will be so happy that they won't want to mess it up by doing what the cartel has done. Lead by example.

No matter how you attempt to sugarcoat the situation - a fraud has occurred. They have abused their status as "trusted dealers" and run roughshod over our community.

Suspend them now.....I can read the concensus, can't you?

Suspend them and let them defend themselves...if they can or will!

With regard how big a portion of their business we are:

First of the counter that was alluded to is a VIEW counter so if I look at a page and it doesn't load properly, I refresh it = 2 views, every time I look at a new page = 1 view, every time I look at an image = 1 view, you see where I am going with this.....?

The number of views a single "Hit" makes can be in the hundreds, easily, just have a look at the Pam section and check out the pics and you would easily rattle up views in no time, so that is irrelevant.

I have stated this before:

Check out where these guys are on google, Alexia, Altavista, Yahoo etc etc.....NOWHERE....so they aren't getting internet sales from outside this forum.
Look at ioffer and you tell me if you see Andy or Josh's watermarked pics anywhere???
NOONE can arbitrarily change their URL without heavy consequences if they do a lot of online business, they can because all they have to do is tell us
I have it on good authority how many wathes these guys are selling every week, and trust me it is a lot less than you think, and almost all sales are coming from the fora, if not ALL.

It's simple, without us they wouldn't survive, they don't have a shop, they don't have any other sales venues, they have a guy who packs and sends out watches for them when WE buy them

Simple, so no more of this crap about having 1000's of hits a day and all that pish, if they did they would be proudly sitting on page one of the a google search page based on traffic stats, they aren't they are on page....who knows what cos I can't count that high.

END OF STORY.

for what is worth, (and not much during middle of firestorm witch hunting..)

some have good communication with dealer of choice

and have not a problem..

maybe is not what always appears, maybe is more or less..

OK, let us Ban All dealers, kill them, and take their watches!

Life is Good!
