At any rate, the real problem with the "I'll accept lying because this is illegal" argument is that there must be honor among thieves. Dealers depend (as all businesses do) on repeat business and word of mouth. If you make it known that you will stop referring people to them and that you will stop purchasing from them - they will have to react. Remember that these things come from China - $200 is a lot of money in China. In fact, $200 is $58 more THAN AN ENTIRE MONTH'S WAGES for the average CHINESE UNIVERSITY GRADUATE! Worse, the people involved with manufacturing these watches are not even university graduates! You are getting ripped off!

Serioulsly though, what has changed other then the twins not being here? True we have a few more dealers. But for how long have we been getting eta clones? From what T4D has said (and others) its VERY tough to tell them from the real thing. And with a few (very few) dealers prices have stay reasonable. But over all prices have stayed high. The steelfish was mentioned early in the thread as being hard to get for less then $300. But its still hard to find for less then that WITH an ASIAN eta. I know this trhead was about more then prices, I wonder if the dealers made any changes?
Just some thoughts. Anyone else care to share?

Thx buddy, this thread made me curious. I think I heard some town talk around, but that was about 2 months ago, so nvm. Your link leads to a forum, didn't quite get the right direction, not a big deal anyway.

P.S. agreed on Daniel Craig, he's fit but ugly to a degree and very far from the poshy style a british spy should have. He looks like a street fighter from eastern europe. Not 1/100 of Sean Connery, but who is anyway...

1)Did the outing of the Twins change the prices we pay??
It said in the thread that alot of the OTHER dealers would just disappear.
2)Did this happen?
Prices- As far as cartels,market conditions,& price. All business try to control & set prices directly & indirectly.
We really do need to find a way to organize & 3 major watch forums & make these types of decisions together. If we don't it's just NOT that effective.
If people (members) are uncomfortable or hate certain dealers. We have the options to buy from other dealers that can source watches. We may have to pay more for the (ex. PO) but we don't need to give twins business.
Solution= Just OUT THEM & buy from others.
3) How long did it take (time table) for the members,mod & administration to make this decision?
