Thinking of buying some PAMs

Nope, at this point my only submersibles are the 389 and 508. In the past I've had the 382 and 243 as well, but never the 364 or 187, since I refuse to wear something that crazy heavy on my wrist.
On a different note, do you know if you can still get OPB engraved solid case backs that fit the Noob 372?

There's another thread about 372 solid casebacks that might help if you look in the panerai section.

I saw that but I figured i'd ask your opinion based on your expertise.

Do you know what the difference is between the PAM V6F and PAM V6F lite? is it just the movement?

Sorry, I have no idea. In my opinion, the noob 372 is the only way to go since the dial is most accurate.

I was actually asking about the '389 V6F' and the '389 V6F' lite that some dealers have. Sorry for the confusion and lack of detail

Ah, I only went with ZF as that was noted the best at the time. I haven't kept up with all these new models since then...

No worries. It really gets confusing trying to track down the best version of a given watch. The guide is a great reference point but doesn't include some of these newer updates. Thanks for all the help!

The only difference is with the movement. The non-lite 389 is using an A7750-based P.9000 clone, the lite 389 is using a Seagull ST-2555-based one. You can also see the lite version is cheaper than its non-lite counterpart. But that's about it. No other differences.

Thank you sir!

Would this be a good first sub to get or would a Noob 364 be a better bet? I get its subjective looks wise but I'm thinking more along the lines of the overall feel and finish

I'm a selling freak... I don't have any rep PAMs left, but I can tell you which I miss the most:
Pam 382 (ZF here for me because of the green Pip on kw... looks like a booger)
Pam 388 (I know ale recommends the kw, but I disagree here... I've had both and I can say I liked the ZF better. The lume was opaque uncharged instead of green uncharged).
PAM 127 (also ZF because of the green on KW... I guess KW scores better here with movement, but I tend not to wear my watches upside down anyway).
PAM 605 (ZF no contest)

Starting to see my problem with KW? I don't care for booger lume.

Honestly, I have both and would recommend either one. It's now up to your specific tastes whether you prefer the chunky PAM364 or the slightly subdued PAM389. Different strokes for different folks, or in my case, different occasions. ;)

Have you had the opportunity yet to look at the new 690 SF V2 yet? I'm wondering if that's worth picking up or not. I'm a sucker for blue face dials and the sunburst dial on the gen looks fantastic. I just haven't found much information or any reviews on this release yet.

No not yet. I wish I had the means to look at every PAM that came out but as all watches I review are either my own purchases or a friend's there is the real chance that I might not have seen a PAM you are thinking of.

It's an okay model. But it's just not my style.
Fair enough. I would prefer the blue dial in another case. I'm not sold on the rads yet so it would be a decently expensive amount of money to figure out if I like them with a blue dial.
