That's strap is from Corrigia, but there are tons or strap makers that can easily make stuff that would look great! Bosphorus, Orloff, HKTan, etc.
So, I'm slowly getting back into the watch game and I'd like to refresh my collection. PAMs have really caught my fancy lately and I'd like to pick up a few prior to the Chinese New Year if possible.
So far I only have the 372 Noob on my list (on sale from Toro) with a plan to get a solid caseback. I don't have any PAMs currently but I do still own one of the original 'Ring Of Fire' homage watches and I do like the heftier size.
The ZF 1359 that Straightravage posted today looks quite nice as well. Does it wear that much smaller on the wrist than a 47mm PAM? I tend to like the simple sandwich dials. Any other recommendations? I'm thinking i'll buy 2-4
At this time i'd prefer to steer clear of getting any submersibles as i have way too many divers already.
so do any of the TD do multi watch/bulk purchase discounts? As I stated earlier, I'm thinking about picking up 2-4 watches depending on what I settle on. I'm very far out of the loop. Do you guys buy direct from the TD via PM etc these days or use their websites?
Any recs on where to pick up some decent straps that don't suck but aren't too pricey to start off with? I probably should buy less watches and perhaps focus on different strap choices but I kind of just want to get more watches
Can anyone hook me up with an answer on my purchase have question?
I
I think I've settled on getting a Noob 372 with a Jackson case back an then one of a 127 or 422 (open for other suggestions still. Overkill to get either of these on top of a 372?) a 617 and perhaps a 1359.
It prob makes the most sense to just get a 372 and 617 that I can alternate and exchange straps with. Anyone else rocking that combo? Is there another black 47mm that might work better?
I still think I like the 422 dial better than the 372 but the 372 deal is hard to pass up when it means I can prob stretch h and get another watch

How do you like the combo of the 372 and 617? I think I'd like something that can be can be dressed up and dressed down, doesn't scream rep, and has a reliable movement. We can't say. It's really up to the TD. You can negotiate the pricing. The worst they can say is no.
I have the PAM372 and the PAM617, not that those two are my only considerations in purchasing straps as I have other 47mm PAMs like the PAM382, PAM571...etc. If you're looking for an alternative black PAM to consider, check out the PAM508, PAM607 and PAM616. They are black (or blackish in the case of the PAM616) and are up there in the replication department (508/607 - Super rep, 616 - First class). It does make sense initially to purchase watches on the assumption that you are going to share straps among your PAMs. 26mm/27mm straps are also compatible with Radiomirs should you decide to get one later down the line. Worry about 24mm straps when you get the 44mm PAMs down the line. Down the rabbit hole you go...

I'm liking the submersibles more and more but I'm still finding it hard to puck one up when I when I have so many other divers already

Would you say you have a plethora? [emoji3]Can't really comment on the "combo", as I have more PAMs than I probably should. :blushing: I like both though, and I do agree with your line of thinking. 372 for a blingy look, or the 617 for something more subdued. Pair it with the correct strap and the look is complete.
No shame in flaunting it!Getting into PAMs can be a slippery slope. You'll get as many suggestions as there are great reps, and there's plenty. Whatever you settle for, know this for sure: Nobody needs more than 12 PAMs.
Yep, stick a fork in that picture cuz I'm done!
Nah, I'm kidding. I saw an opportunity for a shameless display of my PAM collection and took it. [emoji1]

Do you have a 375 as well? If so, how do you like it compared to the 617

Thanks for the full breakdown! Much appreciated. You only needed 12 because of your Knights at the Round Table display.[emoji14]
If according to the definition set by Webster, "a bodily condition characterized by an excess of blood and marked by turgescence and a florid complexion", no. :wow:
If according to the etymology of the word plethora, which comes from the Greek word for "fullness", still no. My collection is not full by my own estimates.
If according to the definition set by the MacMillan dictionary, "a greater amount than you need or want", maybe (although I certainly feel or want I need to get some more PAMs). Oh well.
I had a PAM375 before but sold it to a friend who fell in love with it. The PAM617 and the PAM375 are similar in that they are both PAMs using the Luminor 1950s case and domed crystal. However, I feel the PAM617 is better in that the case material is same as gen, DLCed Titanium as opposed to the rep PAM375, which used a PVDed stainless steel case compared to the composite case on the gen. Also the fact that the PAM617 has a closed caseback gives it another point over the PAM375 (although they both use the P.3000 and the PAM375 uses the superclone version to boot, a closed caseback keeps the movement hidden from scrutinizing eyes). Lastly, from the front, the PAM375 looked nothing more than a PVDed PAM127 (although with the upgraded P.3000 manual movement and the patinated lume).
Thanks for the full breakdown! Much appreciated.
Any strap recs that would work for both the 372 and 617? I'd like to be able to dress both up or down as well as wear either with black or brown shoes/belt if that makes sense.
How do you rate the 1359? I'm a bit intrigued by the sandwich dial and blue secs hand combo

Thanks mate!As both have primarily neutral colorways (black, brown, polished/brushed steel), you can basically use any color of strap to match your outfit. Maybe use some gold-colored (not gold but the color escapes me at the moment LOL) thread to tie in with the gold colored hands. Since you'll be matching with neutral colored leather accessories, basically any color would be fine, you can use similar colors to be uniform or bright colors to stand out. Depends on your style.
As for the PAM1359, I am biased as I've loved the PAM359 design from even before they started using the decorated P.9000 movement. The PAM1359 rep just improves on what's already a winning design for me with the slimmer case and now the aesthetically correct movement. I thought the blue seconds hand would detract from the original design but I find it does not, just adds a slightest hint of color. .
