I got a so called VSF 126610 LV yesterday from a friend. He bought the watch middle of November. I do not know the source and it was not a TD from RWI. I already have a VSF Hulk and a 126610 LN.
Now comparing the LV with the other VSF I already have, I believe the watch is a fake VSF.

Here are my points
1) Bezel klick sounds different. But turn is good
2) 1.8 mm springboard used, therefore the SELs move a little
3) loupe is different, Date looks dark, date fond is thicker, date Window is smaller?
4) My LN has the VSF 3235 movement, the LV has the new one.
5) SELs are not sunken, they are the same height as the lugs.

Overall feeling is not too bad the real VSF feel better. Winding etc….

Now some pics

movement comparison, left my LN with VSF3225 movement from Feb batch.

Clasp code looks correct on the LV.

The ARF clasp didn't feel any different to me, same quality, however we have no idea if the pins holding it together are any better than VSF. We'd need to see some wear results. These are over a year old now, there must be folks have worn them daily.

Really disappointing to see the bracelets fail like that, I thought we'd come beyond this poor quality.

Like I said above, we could do with a bracelet factory that makes really good ones, then we'd have an option. The option at the moment is a used gen bracelet on ebay - take your chances with that.. I have bought a gen bracelet for a rep in the past (a gen 93250 for a JF16610).

I have both the 126610LN and LV. My LN had one of the sides on one of the removable links come off. Not sure if those are just pressure fit onto the bracelet or if they are welded at all. This happened while I was out with the wife and didn't notice until I got home when the pin finally slid off the midlink and started to fall off my wrist. I caught it in time so it didn't hit the floor, but I had to use the one link I removed to replace the one that fell apart. So far the rest of the bracelet has held up ok, but I really only wear them once every 7-10 days though and usually just to work (desk job for the most part.)

Nice pictures:)

Is that a genuine one?

The balance looks very genuine!

BTW does the VSF 126610 has a breguet spiral?

I saw a post somewhere that showed somebody resolve the issue with the new vsf 126610 SEL's. It specifically covered picking the SEL apart and filing it down. Anybody know which post? And can we add it here?

Found the post I was looking for, might be a good addition as there probably are a few out there with this same exact make.

That not fixing the SEL issue I speak of, that is fixing SEL recess and contour. The issue I identified with 126610 is the mid step height of the SEL.

What if you were to file it down all the way into the mid link of the SEL?

Exactly. The midlink sits too low and I don’t know of a practical way of lowering the sides to make it sit higher while maintaining the crisp, sharp step between the mid and side links. That’s a very different spot.

Yeah, Impossible to get right without a lathe and a skilled operator. Not something that’ll be done with a file. Best option is a replacement bracelet for now.

HULK with Gen crystal and CF V4 bezel assembly.
116610LN with Gen Crystal, Bezel assembly, Dial, Hands and DW.

I prefer to CF bezel assembly even though rim of pearl is thin.
Because CF V4 insert has deeper engraving and bezel teeth touch feeling is like Gen.

Describe what you think gen is like? A gen Submariner bezel when new is a rough as a rough cast wall. It will shred a shirt cuff. Remember Roger Moore's buzzsaw Sub in Live & Let Die? They didn't need to sharpen the bezel, a new Sub is like that, sharp, rough and unfinished. Any rep I have had has had a smoother than gen bezel.. So if you CF is smooth or even just a little rough, its NOT like gen. Gen is sandpaper.

This puppy wasn't sharp, not sure if it differs from model and year, being 2019 and gold bezel I never felt it being sharp

I imagine gold bezel and steel bezel are probably a pretty different feeling. That’s my grail watch, congrats!

EVERYONE:

You need to check the tightness of the case back, usually they are only finger tight from the factory!

Every one of my VSF's were finger tight only. Once you have tightened the case back the watch is usually waterproof for a shower or swim.

Again.. check your case back(s) now!

Silicon grease helps, too. I greased my tage heuer aquaracer after replacing its battery recently.
