May I ask why?Is it possible and would it be worth it to swap a 3135 with an ETA?
I know older reps you could make the swap and would get a reliable timepiece. Does that still hold true or would I be wasting money?
No. Cases machined to house the 3135 will not fit an ETA28XXIs it possible and would it be worth it to swap a 3135 with an ETA?

You can get it tighter than a bracelet if you want to. It's a buckle. It does make the watch sit higher due to the extra material under it, but I've always felt NATO strap is the way to go on a tool watch.I've never tried a Nato strap, always worn rubber or metal......How does it wear/feel?
seem like it is probably slippery and flops around?
What do you mean by "Tool Watch" ? havnt heard that termYou can get it tighter than a bracelet if you want to. It's a buckle. It does make the watch sit higher due to the extra material under it, but I've always felt NATO strap is the way to go on a tool watch.

COOL THANKS!A watch that serves a purpose beyond simply telling the time eg dive watch has rotating bezel to track time underwater, is rugged and designed to withstand additional water depth etc
Edit: granted nowadays that most use a dive computer but the point still stands.
Also, the reason for a NATO strap is if one of your spring bars fails, you don't lose your watch. It stays attached to your wrist. Which is why "tool watches" and NATO straps go hand in hand.COOL THANKS!
It’s paper thin, but there are variations. But always way les than a 11XXXX.To anyone who has handled a genuine 126610 submariner, how thick is the SEL recession? Is it about a papers edge or perhaps card stock? Is there much variability among the gens?
They all look uniform to me, and I’m not sure if most of the recession I see is shadow casting.
Thank you. It’s been driving me crazy, so I’m glad I asked. It’s paper thin, but there are variations. But always way les than a 11XXXX.
I'm thrilled. I did not get it through a TD here, but a TD from another forum. I've had a gen sub before, and I was floored. It is exceptional quality.are you happy with it? did you get it through a td on here?
Conducted two tests.I think the guy has a point, VSF and the dealers advertise the watch as having a 72hr power reserve, so it really should have.. and most of them do from what I've read though I have never checked it myself, I couldn't care less.
I'd imagine it comes down to the size of the spring how much power it can retain and these 3235s use a spring that is supposed to hold a 72hr charge, so they probably do.
If you ever bought a gen, the first page of the instructon booklet that comes with the watch says you should unscrew the crown and wind it fully upon first use. I'd do the same with the VS and I bet you get your 72hrs.
