Hi guys, my first post here - hope it is an appropriate thread.

Been interested since 2016 and finally decided to go with the VSF Hulk as my first watch - here are the QC pictures I’ve received… Should I ask for better quality / any specific pics? Any advice is much appreciated!
GL this… looks good to me. 👍🏻

How does the dial compare to old hulk reps that most of the time looked to flashy / had a too strong sunburst effect?

Your pictures looking great 👍
In the first part of this thread (first few pages of this thread) you will find some pictures of some of the first VSF hulks. In the meantime, I found your jacket!

Looks great. Did you simply use some cape cod cloth to polish the rehaut? Or something more elaborate?
Had it done when watch went for service, WR and fitting of some new parts.

Figured I'd ask for a light polish as everything was already being stripped down.

I know there are two camps to this in the watch community, but wanted to get the VSF sub community's opinion:

Have you guys found it worth it to get your VSF Subs serviced right away (a sort of preventative approach) or just service it when stuff goes wrong (losing lots of time, functions not working, etc.?). Or do you guys just not even service and just get replacement movements or completely new reps? Curious on what you guys think.

Has anyone purchased directly off of Geektime's site for the VSF 126610LN or do you always work directly via Whatsapp? I saw one post a while back about always messaging directly and not actually using the websites since you never know the exact inventory etc.

'Horses for courses' as the saying goes.

This was my first and wanted a few things done including WR, so I'm good for 10ATM now.

Not particularly 'handy' with watch repair either so service is the only route until I build up my skills (got a build your own sub kit on order).

I think the VSF submariner will be my first purchase. Looking at the 116610LN with the date and a Hulk with the date. Unfortunately in the middle of a PCS move to the west coast so gonna wait until settled in to make an order unless I find a M2M sale. Don’t want to risk wait times right now.

I have not yet serviced any of my REPS. All run with no problems. If something goes wrong, I'll take it to the watchmaker. If he can't do anything for whatever reason, I would order a new one. VSF is great OOTB!

I was just curious because @mrsullivan explicitly mentioned the K25 serial badge. So I was just wondering if it's maybe a new version since dials sunburst looked very good (closer to Gen from what I saw so far). But hard to say from 1 Pic because of light conditions

Cant comment on the problem but for a UK watchsmith I highly recommend Ado.
