So just the 12 series has updated/improved crystal with no edge distortion on the date window. 11 series still has edge distortion. Is that correct?
Circa 3days for me, i take of the watch on friday afternoon when i come home from work and on monday morning i put it on again and it running strong.

I see that vsf has quite noticeably different arrows. On gen, they look more voluminous and shine much more.
Question: How much is this difference noticeable in real life? Or have they improved it in the latest versions?

Gen hands shine very differently because they're made of white gold, which gives a beautiful warm glow.

Gen hands are simply more refinished, you can feel more 3D effect and are made in white gold (markers included), they appear more warm compared to rep. Finish quality and accuracy are the main reasons why people buy and install gen parts on their reps.

I thought is was fairly well established the edge distortion on the date window for the 12 series has been eliminated (see post: https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/the-vsf-submariners-thread.10277057/post-11036387). Is this not the case?

Edge distortion on the date window is clearly improved in bottom pic bro (newer batch watch). Quality of AR coating (black hole effect) on the other hand is a different issue. From what I've read AR coating is about the same, maybe a little worse on the newer 12 series batches. Not sure that's accurate, but that's what I recall reading.

Easy choice.. VSF gold colour is bad, it's to be avoided unless you intend to have it replated with 18k gold. If you have it replated, you will have a superb watch. It's unwearable otherwise.
