is getting VSF hulk and changing to zf dial v2 more closer to gen? this is what i plan after reading so many posts.

That seems to be a good route, but for me I had changing out dials (I always seem to damage the hands). I've been on a bit of a spending spree, but I plan on getting a VSF Hulk and just being happy with it as it comes.

I had also to decide between the different factory versions of the hulk and read that the zf dial is the best one. Several users put the zf dial into the vsf. But vsf hat improved their dial with the newer k... versions. The dial is darker and better.
So now I'm not sure how big the difference between zf dial and new vsf dial still is. I didn't find a compare between these dials.
I ordered the hulk and hope that it is good OOTB.

I had both ZF and VSF(newer version) in my hands and gotta be honest, the ZF dial is still better. But only the dial and rehaut though. Everything else the VSF wins. But I keep my Hulk rep solely for that deep sunburst green dial so naturally I chose the ZF. Hope this helps.

Definitely the crystal, date disc, and hands. After that is of course the dial and insert.

Now that the 12 series has been out a few years, 11 series dials and inserts have dropped in price, and 12 series dials and inserts are showing up for sale more often. Prices are still pretty high for 12 series parts, but it's the finishing touch for both models that really makes a drastic difference.

Keep on eye on the Member Sales section, under Parts. Other than that, parts can be found on normal channels like ebay, chrono24, etc...

Also, check www.firstclassdials.com for a wide selection of dials. They don't properly describe their dials in terms of defects or scratches, nor do they provide enough photos, but they're reputable.

As always, do your due diligence when buying parts to be sure you're getting what you want and what you're paying for. Good luck.

The QC pictures are of a different watch. I couldn’t see the rehaut number but the bracelet number is different as is the QC sticker on the back.
