i have an honest question, i recently bought a VSF 114060 Sub and planning to wear it in the office. Someone in the office owns a gen. would this someone know if i'm wearing a fake watch in my wrist? is the VSF rehaut so obvious compared to gen? (by the way, i can afford to buy a gen) but prefers and plans to buy many replicas instead). please dont judge me. :)
Let me say this, the VSF is very very close to GEN. The rehaut engraving is a very small part that can be seen on the watch. You would need to look very closely at it to be able to tell.

The VSF114060 is one of the best reps ever made. I have a gen 16610LV and the quality is the same.

is there something you should change with a VSF on GEN, or is it not worth it glass/date/hands?

Definitely the crystal, date disc, and hands. After that is of course the dial and insert.

Now that the 12 series has been out a few years, 11 series dials and inserts have dropped in price, and 12 series dials and inserts are showing up for sale more often. Prices are still pretty high for 12 series parts, but it's the finishing touch for both models that really makes a drastic difference.

Good luck with your build.

does anyone have any idea how to get the SEL distances better?
Looks pretty good to me. If it really bothers you, you could alway put a rubber strap on it. A rubber strap fitted at the lugs looks great on this watch IMHO.

The main difference will be the weights as the gen will be heavier.
no i dont think so. weight difference will not be noticed. i saw a post of weight the same watches and it almost weighed the same. not sure why you say its heavier?

sorry, i thought you are referring to 904 subs. yes you are right, 126619lb is much heavier and there is also a color difference, i saw a post in reddit.

I believe the gen weighs 241g (white gold) compared to the rep weight of about 156g (stainless steel).

I'm hopefully sending my vsf 126610ln in for a service and gen datewheel. Seems like this watch passes on the wrist just fine, as is though!
