Just got this little beauty today and already love it. I am newer to all of this, and have always wanted a vintage DJ so excited to be able to wear it proudly. I know it has a Gen dial, is it possible to tell from the photos aprox what era this would be from and model? I searched chrono24 and could not tell a major difference in the DJ’s based on release dates…but also don’t know what I am looking for.

Thanks for any guidance on the matter.

Two brand new open 6 & 9 date wheels for the 3135. They're custom made in Italy and a local seller had them for sale.
So, I had to have them:

Would the bezels for the 1600 and 16000 be compatible?
I'm looking for a smooth bezel for the 16030, and WSO is selling bezels for the 1601 at a lower price. Would it fit on the 16030?
This is the diameter of the bezel fitting area of the 16030 case.

I am about to order a raffles 2 two case with the included 3135 gasket. My korean DJ back case doesnt really screw on tight anymore, and I can't seem to find an alternative since he doesn't have him on his ebay page anymore.

As far as reshaping, I was planning to practice doing this to get it closer to gen. I know may have to sand the back case to clear the 3135 rotor, but is there anything else I need to do besides the 3135 plastic gasket that's included to make the raffles case accept the clone 3135 movement??

Also will it be able to accept all of my gen parts (crystal/gasket/bezel)? I believe I will have to widen the rehaut a little for the dial to be in there correctly.

I spoke with the korean case guy, he has a new version coming out in April. Left is the new one, seems lugs are slightly different, and fixing the caseback problem caused by overtightening.
Any insights on how the Korean case compares to the Raffles? Also, what are they priced at?

These builds are so satisfying, both in terms of execution as well as in outcome!

Did you ever end up figuring this out? I've noticed that gen 4 digit bezels are significantly cheaper than 5 digit bezels (yellow gold fluted). Obviously would love to go with the cheaper option if it fits.

gen 4 bezels are thinner than gen 5, it’ll look funny.

This was posted back a few pages:

In addition, be aware there is a difference in the date position in 4-digit dials (use Rolex Cyclop 118 #25-118, Sternkreuz XS 306.133) and 5-digit dials (use Rolex Cyclop 135 #25-135, Sternkreuz XS 307.457). Also - the 5-digit bezel fits the Cyclop 135, so make sure you pair the dial, crystal, and bezel. With this being said, everything just fits together like Lego blocks...

If you look at the measurements of those crystals on Offrei (or similar site) you can see that the dimensions differ slightly so the bezel is likely a different size.
