Don't mind the cyclops on a no date dial haha. Just testing with my nh35 movement haha
For those of you who like thinner sidewall cases. Got this one recently from AliExpress. Case is slightly thinner than raffles 2824 case. Fitment is for nh35 so same as the 2824 case from raffles.
Crystal is acrylic but I don't know, feels a bit cheap on my end. Raffles crown doesn't fit on existing crown tube so will need to replace the tube.
Overall, not a bad option for those who plan to swap out the crown and crystal anyways. No case markings though.
I’ve got the same build (same dial and bezel). Looks good. Did you also have to enlarge the rehaut? And what plexi did you use?
This watch was made with a drvintage case.I’ve got the same build (same dial and bezel). Looks good. Did you also have to enlarge the rehaut? And what plexi did you use?

Oops I meant to say case sides are slimmer. 4mm vs 5mm on the raffles 2824 case.

What's the measurement of the crystal for the inner diameter? Was it a tight fit on the case itself? I'm planning to swap the crystal too. But I think I was planning on trying a 30.6mm OD. To ensure tight fit on the bezel.

Excuse my poor questioning skills at night lol, let me clarify my question:apart from having a clone 3135, would there be a reason to choose the 2836 raffles case over the 2824? I have ordered the 2836 case but i’m thinking of maybe getting a 2824
Stem height of the 2836 case doesn’t align with the 3135Excuse my poor questioning skills at night lol, let me clarify my question:
From what I’ve understood if the goal is to use a 3135 clone go with the raffles 2824 case. Now I would also like to have the instant date change feature so i’ve chosen the 2836 and as i’m just dipping my toes in this hobby i’ll be using the black raffles 16200 dial before splurging on a gen dial. The 2836 case seems to have a smaller diameter rehaut which plays well with the dials from raffles. Eventually i’d like to build another datejust for which i’ll source a gen dial. Now my question is apart from the 2836 being slightly thicker and having no lug holes, which case has the better proportions in terms of lugs and rehaut to use for a franken build.
Might need a crystal gasket to add pressure for the bezel or upsize to a 30.5 or 30.6 crystal. For the "HH Sternkreuz (30.4mm)":
OD: 30.4mm
ID: 28mm
Height: 4.4mm
The bezel slides off even when pressed with a crystal press
Where would you put the gasket exactly? Dealing with a similar issue with another plexi where it’s not tight enough and can be taken off with the bezel on it.Might need a crystal gasket to add pressure for the bezel or upsize to a 30.5 or 30.6 crystal.
Aquaprod said his bezel falls off, so I'd assume you would put the gasket between the crystal and bezel to tighten it up. In your case however, sounds like the opposite where your bezel is right on the crystal but the crystal isn't tight on the midcase. So I would assume you need a gasket between the case and crystal to tighten that up.Where would you put the gasket exactly? What I used to do is use a little bit of UV glue to glue the plexi into place. It will create a small barrier between the crystal and the the lip when the UV glue expands. This is usually just enough to get a tight fit for the plexi and the 'expands' the plexi with just a tiny amount which is enough for a tight fit for the bezel.Where would you put the gasket exactly? Whatcha means???? Doesn't the dial look so gen already? only in the "gen" dial can you find 4 dial feet to clip off when choosing movement- for the sake of in-house movement will not fit. Also, only in the "gen" dial can you find a spacing between "T Swiss made T" at 6 o'clock is so close to the markers. LOL.
