Woot! So I got my QC pics - in keeping with forum rules, I'm only posting two pics to get opinions with eyes better than mine. The face looks pretty good (compared to other pix I've seen with misaligned markers).

But has anyone had an issue with the back, where the black engraving is rubbing off as per the pics?

that looks good to me, the lume looks well applied. The caseback can be repainted easy. I'd like to see some more photos once you accept

Anyone have few links to this watch? What are the glaring faults compared to gen?
Go easy on me here guys never had an Omega loads of Pam builds and Rolex so been trying to educate myself here would like to pick up 3 Omegas, looking for LMPO, an orange PO and a ceramic piece any advise on these three? Also would like to stay with solid case backs! Best of these three would be appreciated.

See my gen next to the QC pic posted ago to spot the differences... the only think pointed out is the red tip against the orange tip on the seconds hand of the Rep, this is the main difference, otherwise is maybe the best out of the box rep in the Omega range, isn't it guys??

Mate I have a speed master where the black has come out of the engraving but still looks ok and when it all comes off I guess it will look even! I'm seriously looking for one of these which TD has this pls?

None. Puretime said they don't have any in stock, same for Toro. Sead sold his last one to R&R Tokyo has I contacted him right after. He told me that maybe there will be a few more but it's just speculative.

The huge easy tell on these is the date window. The gen has nice sharp edges while the rep is rounded and smooth. The case back is also an immediate tell. The shapes are flat and "2d" compared to the gen. Still one of my favorites.

Yes but who will examine the cuts on the date window? I have the gen and the immediate only tell I see is the orange tip, nothing more really [emoji851]

It is the lighting I was in office and could not reproduce the same conditions, one thing that I don't know since I don't have or had the rep is the dial really.. I doubt they can get the dial nice and shiny as the gen but yet cannot be sure since I have never experienced the rep in person

But it reflects light in a very impressive way

it's true, the rep datewindow is not a really nice cut compared to gen. The "swiss" on the dial is slightly to the right. The orange tip. And maybe on some the "omega" is too close to the red "seamaster". The caseback is not as pronounced.

But I wouldn't call any of these "easy tells", except maybe the orange hand, which is an easy fix. The other ones, you could only tell if you had both gen and rep in your hands, and even then you wouldn't know which was correct for gen or which for rep, just that there is a small differnece

i wouldn't be surprised if there is a small difference between the rep bezel and dial vs the gen in how they look and relfect. But again i wouldn't call it a tell as it would be so minimal and subjective. Also the quality and clarity of the crystal will impact how the dial looks. You can't compare an omega crystal costing hundreds to a rep crystal costs less than $50

i think the general consensus is the lmpo crystal does not need upgrading. However if it ever did I would use prof 2AR or gen I guess. Prof 2AR would prabably cost half a gen crystal easily

Gotta get your hands on one first!

Anyways, seems like the LMPO 2015 stocks were pretty low as all TDs are out of stock. So we have to rely on M2M for now. There was a 2013 version for sale yesterday for a ridiculous price, too bad the guy withdrew it to give the watch to his father.
