I used the stem from the moonswatch and had to trim it because it was too long…. I think my reps were reps of reps.
I took the time to remove all stems from the plastic crowns for my now six Moonswatches using a pin vise and and checked if they were the right length and all were too short. I feel very unlucky hearing from both you and easy_beaching. I also wish there was a US supplier for PE50 stems as of all the supplies for the watch, those take the longest to come in.

I just trimmed mine. Wasn't a problem. I’m just thinking that the ones I got are just strange. i need to order a few from watches77 on dh to see the better reps.

Here’s the contents of the three different moonswatch reps I’ve received so far.

The bigger mars one is metal cased straight garbage with a 371/370 battery, the first two I got a long time ago.

Then the Neptune is the first gen plastic case one has an lr920 battery.

The earth is from the latest batch that I used to make my metal mars and the stem was too long, has an lr920 battery and also says pe50 on the movement but looks much cheaper.

All three seem to be Pe50 movements but vastly different quality.

Earth and Venus models have the same stem. Big mars has a longer stem.

Last pic is the full length stem next to the unmodified one.

Can you link me to these as these may not be the same as watches_77?

I think watches_77 only has the 0-2-4-6-8 type of subdial at 3 on DHG

(The ones that we previously stated as inferior to the ones with the incorrect to gen, 3 o clock subdial of 24 etc

Although I may be confusing this with the endurance pros because I’m doing mods to both at the same time 😂

I hate that I can’t edit a post. Can someone post the Movement shot from the watches77 one? Or any others you have that don’t look like the ones I’ve posted?

Planning one more build in an Omega branded case. The holder worked great, but just needed a little thickness. I didn't realize you used that inner ring from from the swatch rep, but used a 3M adhesive sticker on the case back (the opposite side still has the covering) that is spongy and it keeps the movement in place nicely.
can I ask where you got the branded Omega case?

also if anyone knows what are the specs of the crown, to see if we can find a compatible branded crown?

After seeing the variation I'm happy that the watches_77 ones are all the same and nothing weird is going on like different crowns or movements. However, I've only bought the Mission to Moon so maybe that's the real reason.

I got a watches_77 swatch and also got the aliexpress case I asked for the omega symbol lasered onto the crown which was a mistake because the custom crown is slightly different and doesnt fit the stem from the watches_77

The watches_77 store has consistently had the best ones for the last 6+ months.

I've purchased about 15 from him. I would always add a note to the seller to " please be sure and send The latest version".

More than double the VK63 case cost, but for good reason... you get an entire watch with it.
At that point youre essentially equally as well off just stenciling "Swatch" on what is entirely an omega speedmaster clone tho

What’s the final verdict on using the pagani pd1701 cases for this modification? Is the rehaut too wide for the rep moonswatch dial? I’m interested because there is a level of waterproof (that is risk a £20 rep moonswatch with!) offered by the pagani option?

The generic VK63 cases work great, no rehaut issues. For level of waterproofness, no idea, but there are seals on the crown and caseback. However, if you push a button accidentally when submerged, some water may get in.

Those the ones that are around £35?
